Protecting One Direction

Chapter 2

I wake the next morning and do the usual routine. Brush teeth, wash face, and brush hair. I put on jeans and a brown skin tight shirt. I leave the house and walk into the barn to find Bruce my horse waiting for me in his stall. I grab his bridal and saddle and put them on him. I'm about to saddle Freckles, Emily's horse before Emily walks in with the others following. I back away and let them get their horses ready and then we climb on and ride away to the airport. When we arrive One Direction is standing there, alone. I ride up to them while the others hold back. They look me over and have a questionable look on their face.

"Are you Alex?" Liam asks. I simply nod. Then a small truck rolls in. The kind with only three seats. I know it's only for their luggage and they unfortunately have to ride with my friends and I. They stare at the truck and bust out laughing. They look at me and Zayn says "Okay quit messing around where is our ride?" I jump off Bruce and pat his neck while saying "This is your ride. I look at all five and notice Niall staring at me. "Niall, you are gonna ride with me, Zayn you are gonna ride with Shelby, Liam with Zoe, Harry with Fleur, and Louis with Emily."

Niall smiles and walks up to me. He takes my hand and pulls me into a hug. I don't know what to do so I awkwardly place my hands on his back. Then the other boys come and hug me. I hear one of my friends cough so I let go and tell them again who to go with. They each don't know how to get on. My friends and I laugh.

"Okay listen..." I say while getting down on one knee..."Niall put your right leg on my knee then flip over your other leg." Niall does as he is told but he ends up sliding of the other side. "Damn!" He screams. I go to the other side, help him up, and I start to brush off his shirt until I look up and see him staring into my eyes. I quickly stop and tell him again how to get on while Shelby goes to the other side to catch him incase he starts to slide off again. He gets on and quickly grabs the saddle horn. We get the other boys on and put their luggage in the car. The driver calls my name.

"Alex, the boss said that the boys will be staying at your place since its in the middle of no where and it will be hard for fans to find them." With that he drives away not waiting for my answer. I turn around to see the girls sitting in front of the boys and holding the rains ready to go. I hop on Bruce and start out walking. But when Bruce started walking he jerked and Niall quickly grabbed my waist. He stated "Sorry love." "It's okay Niall, you just didn't want to fall off." I simply reply. I make that clicking noise which my mouth and Bruce begins to run. Niall grabs on tighter then begins to laugh. I look to me left and my right to find Fleur and Harry, and Shelby and Zayn. Both boys are laughing two. Then my biggest nightmare happens. My packs enemy pack starts chasing us from their side of the border but is fallowing. I turn around to be relived by some of my other pack members fallowing as well just in case. I also see Zoe and Liam, And Emily and Louis. Again all the boys were laughing. I smile and get Bruce to go faster through the woods. Soon enough, we reach my doorstep. I try to get off Bruce before I realize I have to lean onto Niall so I can bring my leg around without smacking him in the face.

"Niall?"

"Yeah?"

"Um, I kinda have to lean on you to swing my leg over."

"Yeah that's fine love."

I nod my head and lean onto Niall, then swing my leg over and jump off of Bruce. I watch as my friends do the same.

"Niall, Louis, Harry, Liam and Zayn, hold on to the saddle horn cause we are taking you to the barn. I turn and start leading Bruce. I slide the giant barn door open and lead Bruce into the front of his stall. I then help Niall off. The same way I helped him get off. When he jumps off my leg he extends his hand for me to take. Even though my mind screamed to take it I know I couldn't. I just stand on my own and thankfully turn to see the others doing the same. I start to unsaddle Bruce and I can feel the boy's eyes staring into me, I just ignore it. I push Bruce into the stall and walk over to the boy's.

"Alright, my boss said you are staying here with me since its in the middle of nowhere and it would be harder for fans to find you." They just nod. I look at every single on and notice Niall staring at me again. I just look away and lead them to my house where I find the driver of the truck dropping off the bags. The boys grab their things and fallow me into my mansion. I walk up stairs and down a hall with five rooms. I stop at the front of the hall. "You can choose your own rooms and if you need anything I'm the third room down the hall to the left." I said while pointing behind them.
