I was oblivious as to what time it was. Looking through the crafted windows you could glance at the never changing night sky. It was a beautiful night for a grand event, but now I feel as if there were dark and stormy clouds lurking on the corner. Occasionally I would pound my fist on the stupid door, if only I had super strength then I would just knock it down. I wonder if Weston believes Danielle, that his one true friend in the palace has abandoned him. Would he declare her as the new Queen of Amaren. I shivered slightly at the idea. Hopefully my shoe was not too far from this room, I needed somebody to find me. This was supposed to be a carefree night  for Weston, and his mind is most likely racing with troubling thoughts instead.

One thing I knew from books I read as a young child, good always wins. Hopefully my fate views me as good. After all Danielle is not good, she locked me in a bedroom! I let out a breath of exasperation.  I've never done anything but be kind to Danielle, but to my luck she sneers at me and turns away. I pressed my ear to the door trying to listen for anybody that was passing by.

After a long time of nonexistent patience, suddenly there was a quiet pitter-patter of shoes getting louder as they approached the hallway. I banged on the door heavily.

"Help! Please!" I yelled trying to mentally shove the barrier of the door away.

"Olivia?" I heard the Queen ask happily yet concerned.

"Danielle locked me in here, please get me out. Please." I started to sob again from the traumatic events. I was a caged Queen.

"Weston is frantic, Danielle told him you left him. He ran out of the ballroom enraged and came across your missing shoe. Weston has declared a search for you, I have never seen him so unhinged." She said rumbling on, for a former queen I've never heard her so frantic.

"I would never leave him, your majesty. Only if I was taken away forcibly, or you know locked away. Could you please get him so I could get out of this suffocating room?" I asked desperately.

"Yes, whatever you need. Also call me Anne, I'm no longer the Queen. That's you my dear." With saying that she left to go find my much needed rescue.

The last minutes of suffering were finally over and I heard a rush of hurried footsteps. I immediately wiped the remaining tears and swiped my mascara from under my eyes. I heard the footsteps rapidly approached the door.

"Olivia!" I Heard Weston's voice yell in panic. He muttered a curse when he couldn't get the right key fast enough. Once he did I came in contact with my saviour, my very own Prince Charming. I was instantly engulfed in a tight embrace. "Danielle told me you left the palace." Weston held me back checking for any wounds. "I would have never thought she locked you in her bedroom!" He brought me back into his arms.

"I would never leave you, Weston. I said I would be Queen for you. I meant it." After saying that to him with full honesty, Weston crashed his lips upon mine for the first time. I felt like I found my way home, it was as if I was lost in a dense forest and he rescued me. He laughed gently and drew back from my lips. Weston held out a single pink heel. I laughed in response.

"I believe that's mine." I smiled as he ushered me to sit on a tufted bench.

"Only if it fits, my little flower." He looked up at me lovingly with a smirk playing on his lips. He placed his hand on my foot and slid the shoe on. Then Weston lifted me in the air and I giggled. Once again I found his lips on mine and I sighed in content and utter bliss. In this moment I thank my nagging mother that forced me to go compete for his love. I might have not wanted a snobby rich boy as my King, but what I found was so much more. Weston was kind, humorous, and loving. I smiled at the beautiful man that I was to rule beside, eager to experience the fond memories yet to come.
