Being woken up to a small creature landing on her lap was not how Fyra had expected her day to begin. Almost screaming, Fyra opened her eyes to see a Dragon staring down at her with forest green eyes, alike her own.
"Axinite!" She muttered, scooping up the baby dragon, who was small enough for her to carry around in her arms.
The little dragon growled, lightly clawing at her clothing, but Fyra was surprised to find that there was no damage to her clothing. The baby dragon had managed to destroy her old dress, using it as a play toy, but couldn't even make a scratch on her new clothing. Must be magic.
Fyra ran a hand through her messy white hair, brushing it out of her face. Her scruffy fringe still swept over her eyes, but the rest of her long, waist length hair stayed at her side. Looking in a mirror, she put Axinite on the ground, changing into the clothes she had worn the night before, before trying to run a brush through her hair.
Once she deemed it decent enough to be seen in public, she picked up Axinite and walked out of her cabin, heading back to the campfire where he had hatched. She was still a bit confused as to what had happened the previous night, but she was happy to care for the little dragon, even if she was confused about how he had only been with her for one day before he hatched. Maybe that was why the Elder Dragon arrived at the time he did – He knew that Axinite was almost ready to hatch, and so he delivered the egg to Fyra as close to the hatching time as possible.
Fyra noticed that as she sat by the campfire in the morning, instead of being alone, there were many other Elven, Fey and Nymphs around, as well as a few others. While she watched the others around the campfire, talking with each other or doing work, Axinite played on her lap, trying to eat the amber coloured axinite gemstone on his tail, but failing as he had no teeth, and even if he did, he wouldn't be able to break the gemstone easily.
She looked around, hoping to see a familiar face, but she couldn't see Ender around anywhere. Picking up Axinite, who continued to chew on the amber gemstone, sure it was food, she headed towards the board with the map on it, so that she could find his cabin, and see if he was there, since she wasn't sure what she should do, or who she should see about beginning training and signing up to help out around the Camp.
When she reached the board, which was much more visible from the light of the early morning sun, she saw that Ender was in Cabin 43, which wasn't far from hers. She debated going to find food first, but she decided against it, as she didn't want to have the awkwardness of having to explain that she didn't know what she was meant to do, or say, or have to explain about her general lack of knowledge of how things worked in the camp.
Walking towards his cabin, she was saved from the awkwardness of him being out or asleep but bumping into him.
"Ender! Just who I was looking for!" She exclaimed, smiling.
"Hey! I take it you plan on staying then!" HE looked down at the baby dragon in her arms, and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Your egg hatched already?" He said, shocked.
Fyra nodded, looking down at Axinite, who had given up on eating his tail and was instead pawing at Fyra's waistcoat, his claws unable to catch on the fabric.
"That's strange..." He muttered, "I see you found an outfit in your cabin. The clothes made here are enchanted, with fabric that won't damage, and is as strong in defence as armour, while being as light and comfortable as clothing."
Fyra smiled, happy to have an explanation as to how the clothing was suitable for training and also how Axinite's claws couldn't damage it.
"I was hoping that you could help me sign up for some training sessions? If I'm one of these 'Chosen', like you said, I'll probably need to be able to fend for myself..."
