CHAPTER SEVEN
Friday, September 11th"How's your hand doing?" she asked again,
"Fine I guess, what are you doing here?"
"Oh my mom sent me to check on you, she said you'd need the support," she said smiling but not fully,
"Support, your mom makes me sound like a cancer patient, I'm not dying or anything," Alex grinned at her, "though the cast is annoying."
"Yeah about that... what do you do when your hand gets itchy,"
"Oh, that's easy the secret is a hanger, get the hanger under the cast then scratch it almost feels better than normal scratching," Alex said grinning, "almost."
"Ugh, that's just weird," she made a puking face at Alex.
From there they talked about stuff before Alex's mum called Riley down to help her in the kitchen. Then Riley went home.
"Alex were are you going?" Stacey asked as Alex was heading to the front door
"I'm going for a walk,"
"Okay, but nothing stressful like running. You need to limit your movement so your arm heals fast,"
"Yes ma'am,"

Minutes later Alex was standing in front of Blue Lake's entrance, the same one he had literally stumbled out of with a wolf at his heels. The gate was sealed with police tape and a heavy padlock, he wasn't coming in that way. He jumped over the fence, depending on his good hand and landed with a soft thud, he walked back to the path and went deeper.
He didn't see any blood stains which either meant that he didn't bleed much when he was attacked or the park had a really skilled cleaning crew, the latter seemed to be more believable than the former.
It looked the same, Blue Lake, as if someone hadn't died here days ago, the grass was slightly overgrown but nothing was different. He kept walking until the path disappeared, each time a bush rustled he'd turn that way watching to see if anything would come out. Thoughts of the red haired girl had been plaguing his mind, he'd wake up sweating after a dream or he'd follow any girl with red hair until he could see her face and confirm they weren't her.
A shrub nearby shook as if someone or something were inside it. It kept at it for awhile then stopped, it was as if Alex had never heard the expression 'curiosity killed the cat', he went towards it like his life depended on him knowing what was there, by the time he got there he could see the receding yellows of the eyes of some animal, it was definitely to small to be the thing that attacked him maybe a stray dog .
"Hey kid, what are you doing?" A voice said "This place is off limits to the public , didn't you read the sign." The man wore a blue jumper that said 'staff' on the chest and another tag read 'Sid', he was probably part of the infamous cleaning crew but he didn't look happy at all.
"Sorry I was just looking around and I got a little lost," lying wasn't something that Alex did regularly but under Sid's gaze he felt like a child that was caught red handed trying to steal from the cookie jar. Sid's features relaxed slightly, his eyebrows still furrowed and said, "Are you looking for the Manor? It's just behind those trees. You'll want to keep on the path or you'll get lost,"
"Yeah, sure. Thanks you're a life saver I really didn't know the way," Alex said scratching his head and showing him a forced smile, Sid's eyebrow rose higher on his head but he kept watching Alex,
"Are you going to go there or are you just gonna stand around?" He said flatly, and Alex's smile faltered and he walked away, Sid was watching him so he could not escape, but on the good side he had made a discovery, he never knew there were buildings on park land or a manor. He kept walking and the path soon led into the woods, he always knew Blue Lake park was just a clearing at the edge of the woods but he had not gone so deep into it before.
He soon broke out from the shade of the trees, the sight in front of him was magnificent, a huge lake spread across the area, a small stone bridge ran across the lake. Beyond the lake was a garden that could only be found in movies, hedges and rows of flowers, the colors varied ranging from white to blue to red and even black. As he crossed the bridge and stepped on the garden's pathway the manor came into view, it was like a combination of a modern day mansion and a medieval castle, it was fenced off by a huge wall and a gate with elaborate designs on it, 'Ludrick Manor' written boldly and Belle said the Ludricks weren't super rich.
He could have kept gaping if he didn't hear the footsteps coming up the path. He quickly ducked behind a hedge praying he wouldn't be seen, then he saw who it was, a petite girl with flowing red hair and boots, he prayed the exact opposite of what he had prayed before, he began to rise but he saw she was with someone, a man in a suit and dark glasses, he had an earpiece in his ear and he was following behind her, maybe a bodyguard. They seemed to be talking about something urgent, their voices were muffled and Alex couldn't hear. The man stopped and seemed to inhale deeply, she stopped too and did the same, maybe they really loved the smell of flowers but it was a weird sight, the wind blew strongly making her hair dance in the wind, making her look even more beautiful, it was definitely her, the girl of his dreams - literally, they kept walking then veered off into the woods, when they were out of sight he stood.
"What was she doing here at the Ludrick Manor , no way she could be related to Randy they look nothing alike."
Sid stepped out from one of the pathways that led into the woods, only leaving Alex just enough time to hide again, he met with another man at the gate, the man was also dressed like a body guard. They talked and Sid left but the man stayed behind.
Alex turned to leave, it was getting dark and getting stuck in the woods at night was a bad idea. He turned and began his journey home. When he got back he lay on his bed thinking. He was beginning to look forward to the meeting with Randy's parents, maybe he'd see her again. He thought back to what he thought he had heard the first body guard call her - Amara.
