Howl

Chapter Two

CHAPTER TWO
Monday, September 7th

It was only midnight when two high school students were out in the moon lit park called Blue Lake. They had both lied to their parents that they were going to each other's houses to study, only for them to be making out in the park were they couldn't be seen.

'Zoom' something dashed past Ella's window, Ella, a pretty blonde of average height with blue eyes,also a cheerleader in her school.

"Dash! Something's outside the car!"

"What? Are you sure?"

"I think we're being watched but please go check it out!"

"It's probably just a hare no need to freak," Dash replied getting impatient. After some persuading and cute puppy faces Dasherie Klinton Ella's tall husky football playing boyfriend unwillingly went out to check.

The grass was wet, because it had rained during the day, he walked still keeping his shoulders high although he was cold. He turned around to check on Ella and she was watching and then she waved at him and a whole new wave of confidence washed into him as he carefully walked forward avoiding little flower beds, Dash looked up; it was a full moon.

"Hey, is anyone here?" He shouted hoping he wouldn't get a response.

Dash was in a white body hugging shirt with black jean trousers, his hair was light brown and his all stars were white and black. The moon always gave him the creeps especially a full one, all sorts of thoughts raced through his mind and the most sensible reason he could think of was that he was being pranked,

"This can't be a stupid prank,no one would dare to prank me,but this moon something is wrong we have to leave now there is something..........."

"....wrong"

His thoughts were interrupted by a rustle in a nearby bush, he couldn't pull away now that Ella was watching, he had to face it, whatever it was. He walked towards it a stick now in his hands still avoiding the flower beds, he was there now towering over the bush of red roses, separating the twigs and thorns with the stick, his adrenaline was high and he felt like he was in a life or death situation until...... until he saw an owl feeding of a small rabbit.

"Is that all, nothing else? And I got so worked up about nothing," Dash cursed under his breadth and turned around and waved both hands in the air towards Ella; she waved back and after sometime pointed at him.

" DASH BEHIND YOU, RUN! "Ella screamed from the back sit, pointing towards Dash's back, but he couldn't understand, he thought she was praising him, the owl from before decided to make him aware of the situation he was in, it flew away from its meal and crashed into Dash's face clawing its way through, it finally maneuvered Dash's face making him turn around to see what scared it, he could see the carcass of the half dead rabbit.

And for the first time he looked straight ahead and saw the pair of Blood red eyes staring at him, fear engulfed his body and his movement was ceased from him, then he found himself walking towards the pair of eyes.

"What the hell is that?"

Suddenly Dash stopped in his tracks as the eyes formed a body to go with it as it stepped out in to the moon light: bloodshot eyes, still burning red as ever, its new found body black and seemed to sway with the wind like smoke that refused to leave its spot, it was on four legs like a dog, no more like a wolf, a very large one.

"Frigging hell, what is this? Some prank? Whoever is doing this is in a big mess because ...."

He shut his mouth after it let out a low growl. It was no prank.
