A/N: This request was sent in by @philisacinnamonbun .... but I put my own little twist on it :)

Lily was at Brendon's album release party, she kind of had to go. Her parents forced her to attend so that she would be supportive, but if it was her decision, she would've just stayed home and slept. His band's brand new album was just released a few hours ago worldwide and now every single song from the album was playing on a loop in the night club. She wasn't having much fun, Brendon was always the "star child". Her entire life, everyone had always worshiped and praised him for how talented and successful he was. Honestly, she hated his music. She didn't understand why millions of copies were sold. Lily sat at a table by herself in the corner of the club playing a game on her phone and drinking vodka, she just wanted to go home. It was currently 11PM and there were probably about 40 people up and talking, dancing, drinking, celebrating, etc... The neon flashing lights and the pounding bass of the music was giving her a raging migraine, she definitely was not a party person.

She was almost falling asleep with her head on the table when suddenly someone was standing right next to her, catching her attention and waking her back up. Lily sat up and her eyes widened, "Josh? Um, hey? What are you doing here?" Josh was her best friend, she was really confused as to why he didn't tell her he was going to be at her brother's party. Josh laughed and sat in the chair next to her, "Brendon invited me, duh. At first I wasn't going to come because I'm exhausted from our show last night but then I realized that you were probably going to be here and I know how much you hate parties, so I came just to keep you company and make sure you don't have a totally miserable time." Lily smiled, she loved how caring he was. Their friendship was perfect in every way... except that Lily didn't want to be just friends with Josh. For a long time, she's wanted to be more than that, but what would Brendon think? Josh and Brendon were really good friends and so she knew Brendon wouldn't be too happy with her if she ever admitted her feelings for Josh. Lily yawned, "Thank you, that means a lot. I've just been sitting here for the past 3 hours, I'm so bored and tired." Then she hiccuped, she was a little drunk. Suddenly the room started to get slightly blurry but she tried her best to act sober, her brother would kill her if he saw her drunk. As much as Lily loved Brendon, he was extremely overprotective of her... and not in a good way. Sometimes he was a little out of control, constantly wanting to make decisions for her. Brendon acted like more of a parent to Lily than a big brother. Josh responded, "It's no problem. I'm actually having a pretty good time. This party is really cool, they must have put a lot of effort into this. Anyway, I was just talking to Brennon and he's been looking for you. I told him I'd text him when I found you." Josh started to pull out his cell phone to text Brennon when Lily drunkenly said, "No! I don't want to talk to him. He's being annoying." Josh noticed her acting strange and he slightly chuckled to himself, "Lily, you're hammered. Do you want me to drive you home?" She shook her head rapidly, "Nope!" Lily, without even thinking, leaned in and kissed Josh. He was taken by surprised at first, but he didn't stop her. The smell of her alcoholic breath was filling the oxygen around their lips. She was slightly shocked that he hadn't pulled away, they just continued making out.

Suddenly, the kiss was interrupted by Brendon saying, "What the hell is this?!" Lily and Josh both quickly pulled away, Josh awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. Lily avoided eye contact with Brendon and she slurred, "Fuckin... j-just fuckin go away Brendon. No one likes you..." Her big brother gave her a death glare then walked closer to the two friends, "Oh my God, you're drunk. Josh, did you get my sister drunk just so you could make out with her? You're an asshole." Josh stammered, "N-no that's not what happened. She kissed ME!" Brendon responded angrily, "But you didn't stop her!" Lily squeezed her eyes shut and held her head in her hands, "Ow! Stop yelling! It was all my fault, sorry." She slowly stood up then stumbled into the crowd, humiliated. Brendon and Josh went after her to make sure she didn't do anything stupid. Brendon turned to Josh when he tried to grab Lily's hand and said, "Josh, just get out of here." Well, that was the end of that friendship. Josh wanted to be there for Lily so that she didn't have to be yelled at by Brendon for the rest of the night, but he decided to give it a rest and just go home.

Lily was stumbling out of the building when Brendon said in a calm voice, "Hey. You're not driving, give me your keys. I can't believe you'd do this to me. Out of any night of the year, you decide to get hammered on the night of my biggest album release party. Thanks. It means a lot, sis." He grabbed her car keys out of her hands then turned around, disappearing back into the crowd. Lily stood there crying to herself. Fine. She sure as hell wasn't going to stay at the club, so if she couldn't drive then she was going to walk home. Lily walked through the parking lot when she saw Josh going to his car. She yelled and ran after him, "Josh, wait up!" He turned around and sighed, "Lily, I'm sorry. I should've stopped you from kissing me, it wasn't fair of me to take advantage of you like that when you're obviously drunk then get you in trouble with Brendon. Are you okay?" She sniffled and crossed her arms, trying not to look at Josh due to her extreme embarrassment. He gently took hold of her chin and whispered, "Hey, look at me." She couldn't resist looking into his beautiful dark eyes and she whispered back, "Are we still friends? I mean... even after the kiss and Brendon being an asshole to you and everything." He smiled, "Of course." Lily, still being drunk, took a risk and leaned in for another kiss. Just like before, Josh didn't pull away. He couldn't find the strength. They were kissing in the middle of the parking lot under the dark starry sky, then he suddenly pushed her back, trapping her between a car and his body. He held her face as they kissed softly, yet passionately. Lily pulled away to catch her breath and whispered, "I was kind of hoping you'd say we wouldn't be friends anymore... because I want more than that. I don't care about what Brendon thinks, I want to have you all to myself. I always have." Josh smiled and whispered, "You have me."
