Stuck Between The Two

I looked over at the time. It was two am now. I sighed and took another scoop of the cookie and cream ice cream that I had been engulfing for like the past four hours. Its 2 in the morning and chris still hasn't been home. I've called several times and left messages several times but he never replied.

Nadia: lets try again.

I said grabbing my phone and dialing his number again. I was hoping he would pick up at least this time but sadly it went straight to his annoying ass voicemail again. Where the hell could he be at 2 in the morning?Why isn't he picking up his phone? Who would he be with at this time?

I was starting to get paranoid now. I needed to know where my husband was before I go crazy. What if he is in trouble or something? I needed to know that he was ok at least. I decided to call trey since they are always together. And they are best friends after all. Trey surprisingly picked up on the third ring.

Trey:hello?

He said in sleepy voice.

Nadia: hey trey

Trey: oh shit. Nadia. ..hey

He said as if he just realized it was me who was calling.

Nadia:yeah... I hope im not bothering you I just wanted to know if chris was with you.

Trey: nah i told him i wasnt feeling good and I was going to say him

Nadia: oh ok..do you know where he might be? Its in the morning and I've called and texted him. He hasn't reached out to me yet.

Trey: well when we last talked he was telling me how he was going to the club. Maybe he still hasnt left yet.

Nadia: maybe

I sighed and ran my fingers through my curls.

Nadia:but why isn'he returning my calls....im worried trey cause this isnt like him.maybe something happ-

Trey: nadia calm down im sure Chris is fine. Let me call him and see if he'll pick up

Nadia: yeah thanks trey

Trey: no problem.

With that I hung up and sat back on the couch. I swear chris drives me freaking crazy.
