I knew Stephanie couldn't resist Donnie coming over. Sure, Misty warned her, but what's the worst that could happen?

It seemed like they really hit it off, too! Donnie definitely seemed interested. I only saw them a few times because I kept chatting with Jordan. But Jordan was really cute! I never realized how adorable his poofy hair was, until now!

So, today at school, I'm minding my own business when I run into another guy! His name was Joey McIntyre. Apparently, he only lives a few blocks down the road and he's practically the Richie Rich of our neighborhood... He was full of himself, alright. I'd try to talk to Jordan and he'd push him out of the way just to flirt with me. It was the weirdest thing. It's kinda like that whole Stephanie-Donnie-Mark triangle. Of course, none of us like Mark, and as soon as I told the others about Joe, they knew exactly what I'd gotten myself into. So, now we don't like Joey, either.

But later that day, Donnie humiliated poor Joey in front of everyone. (No, I don't like him like that. But I don't wanna hate him, either.) Donnie shoved the kid up against the lockers because he was apparently "eyeing me the wrong way", even though Jordan and I weren't even a thing yet. I still got mad at Donnie for hurting him. I'm giving Joey a slight chance, even if nobody else doesn't. One chance.

But the principal came by and gave Donnie and Joey Saturday detention. I didn't understand the reason for Joey at first, but then principal Finster explained that he was caught doing "PDA" (Public Display of Affection). And since Donnie was almost about to beat up Joey (Jordan made Donnie be a look-out for guys coming at me plus Mark with Stephanie, so Donnie's got his hands full.) he got sentenced for detention, too.

But I, on the other hand, got mad at Donnie and began to punch his side angrily, when Finster found me, too... Three down, three to go! I hope my mom would've understood, though. I've never gone to detention before, and our principal was strict...

As Finster tried to break up Donnie and Joe, I saw Stephanie's first random test with a Mark encounter by her locker.

He leaned up against the side of the lockers followed by saggy pants, "Hey, babe. I figured I could drop by and see if you're doing anything tonight?"

Stephanie said, "Sorry, Mark. But I already have plans with Donnie, this evening. Apparently he's gonna take me somewhere after school."

Mark persisted, "You know, there's this new movie playing tonight at the theater that I think you'll like."

She ignored him, grabbed her books from her locker, and started walking toward class.

And that's when everyone found out about Mark's true colors, He caught up to her, grabbed her wrist tight, pinned it to her back so she couldn't move, and pulled her close. "Stephanie, you're coming with me whether you like it or not. Or else, you won't see Donnie or any of your friends, again." He threatened.

She screamed so loud to make him let go of her, kicked him in a place where the light doesn't shine, and ran into the principal who oddly saw everything unfold. "That's all I have to see. Detention. Saturday. Both of you."

"Detention!?" They both said in unison. Mark was still on the ground holding his crotch...

Then Stephanie said, "No, no, no, no. You don't understand, sir. I was just trying to protect myself. Mark was threatening me!"

"Doesn't matter. You've both caused violence in the halls. That's automatic detention." What a jerkface.

Five down, one to go. And just in time, too. Jordan had his math book and tried to throw it into his locker like a basketball goal. And since Finster was still roaming the halls, he caught on.

"Mr. Knight," He started. "That is damage to public property, young man. I believe a day in detention this Saturday would be good for you, as well as the others that caused trouble." Jordan sighed and continued to go about his business.

Meanwhile, Donnie was kicking his locker in annoyance, "This bites! I gotta sit in the library for a whole eight hours..? Frick!" He kicked it again even harder.

"Mr. Wahlberg. Would you like detention again, next Saturday, too?" Finster said on his way out of the 9th grade hall. Donnie stayed quiet, for once. "That's what I thought." And the principal finally walked out.

Stephanie came up to him and said, "It's ok, Donnie. I mean, we all got detention for stupid reasons, too. And I'm so excited for tonight! I've been trying to figure out where you'll be taking me all day!"

He smiled, but it faded, "Nah, it's not just that. I wish I could've been there to help. I was got so paranoid that he was gonna somehow put his hand up your skirt, or something..."

"Donnie! No way! I know better!" She gritted her teeth. But I had to agree with Donnie, though. I was kinda creeped out by Mark. I mean, he's a sophomore and he acts like a perv... But it's not like he didn't touch her like that. He's more threatening than he is gross. "Donnie, you trusted me. And I feel I proved it."

"I know it. I just felt bad. I know Mark way more than you do. And he's not a good guy to be around. Ever." He put his arm around her. "Just keep your distance." Like she hasn't heard that before...

I went up to Steph, "Wait, so this means that we're all gonna be in detention together? With Mark and Joe?" The three of us groaned.

Jordan came up to us and joined our chat. And eventually we all groaned. Of course, we get to spend our Saturday with a couple of idiots to join our group of four...

We saw Mark and Joe walk past us together (I guess they're friends. Doesn't surprise me.)and they scoff in unison, "See you on Saturday!" Ok, I'm pretty sure Joey just blew his chance now. I wanna kick those two dinguses in the shin so bad.
