LadyNoir/Adrienette Short Story: Familiar (Chapter 7)

"Mari.....what's wrong?"

She was completely silent. He had lifted her head up but she would not allow her eyes to meet his irresistible emerald orbs.

"I'm sorry...." she whispered ever so softly that even if you were as close as Chat was to her, you still wouldn't be able to hear it. Luckily, thanks to Plagg, he heard her loud and clear. "Sorry? Sorry for what?" He questioned her. "I'm sorry for being Ladybug. I'm sorry that I'm not the amazing girl you expected me to be. I'm sorry I've disappointed you." She said, the tears silently falling from her face. Her miraculous beeped, and she shakily stood up. "I-I should go." She said hastily as she tried to make a quick getaway, but was stopped when someone grabbed her wrist. Chat yanked her back and within seconds she found herself crushed against her partner, her hands on his chest while his own wrapped securly around her. Her eyes wide and still glistening from the tears threatening to fall. His own eyes were soft, full of love and determination. He chuckso d slightly and her eyes once again fell to the floor. "Marinette, look at me." He said gently, and she slowely lifted her head up, locking into his gaze. "You could never disappoint me. I love you Marinette. With and without the polka dotted mask and skin tight suit, which makes you look so good." He whispered as a smirk played his lips. She blushed heavily, and a small smile lit up her own features. "Do you mean it? Do you really love me?" She whispered, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. Chat chuckled, and recaptured her lips with his. Soon after, they both pulled away due to their lack of oxygen.

"Does that answer you question purrr-inces?"
