LadyNoir/Adrienette Short Story: Familiar (Chapter 9)

"Is that a yes?....."

Marinette playfully rolled her eyes and giggled. "It's not rocket science kitty. Of course it's a yes." She smiled brightly. "Hey! I'll have you know that this cat has astrophysics in the bag." He grinned proudly at his pun. "Oh gosh.... now I have to deal with puns when you're Adrien too!!" She whined. "Sorry bugaboo, but the puns are a part of the package." He said with a smirk. At that moment, Tikki and Plagg flew back to their holders. Tikki squealed and hugged Marinette's cheek while Plagg only rested on Adrien's shoulder. "I'm so happy for you both!! Oh, you're so cute together!!!" Tikki exclaimed. "Yeah, congratulations adrien. Didn't know you had it in you. But.... Won't it be a little suspicious? I mean, Marinette could barely say two words to you yesterday, and now you guys are an item? at the same time Chat Noir and Ladybug become a thing? Seems fishy buddy." Plagg remarked. Adrien let out a long sigh and looked at Marinette. "Plagg is right..." She started. "Maybe we could introduce our relationship as ladybug and Chat Noir first, and then over a few weeks, in our civilian forms, we could grow closer, and then announce our relationship." She proposed. Adrien could only smile at her. He pulled her to his chest and inhaled her sweet scent. "God.... you're so smart." He whispered into her hair. She giggled into him, but then pulled back. "Well, I guess we better get going.... We do have school tomorrow." She said with a heavy sigh. "I guess you're right." adrien stated as he called upon his transformation, Marinette doing the same. Chat then pulled her close and gave her a single, sweet kiss. "Good night, M'lady.... I'll see you tomorrow." And with a flash, he was gone. Leaping over rooftops and buildings. Marinette gently touched her lips, and felt a deep blush growing.

"Goodnight, my silly kitty."
