MariChat Short Story// All Because of the Rain... (Chapter 2)

Chat clung tightly to Marinette, as she rubbed his back soothingly.

"Do you...... want to talk about it?" She said after a while, breaking their silence.

Chat only hung his head low and suddenly he remembered exactly who's room he was in. This was Ladybugs room. Ladybug was Marinette. Marinette was ladybug. At that very moment, he couldn't care less about his fathers negligence towards him. He only looked up at her and smiled.

"Nope!" He said, popping out the p. He gently grasped Marinette's hand and started to waltz with her, all while he was humming the song. "C-Chat..." she giggled. "What are you doing?" A sly smile flew across his features. "Why, Isn't it obvious? I'm dancing with my princess."

A small blush made its way to her delicate cheeks, but she brushed it off and giggled. Chat let out a soft yawn as he closed his eyes and tucked Marinette's head under his chin. "Looks like someones a little tired." She stated as he pulled her to the chaise and plopped down on it, pulling her down with him so that she was laying on top of him.

"C-Chat, what...?" she stuttered while her face grew red. He only sighed contently and snuggled into her. Soon enough, they both fell asleep.

A few hours later.....

Chat awoke with a soft groan. he felt an unusual weight upon his chest and his eyes lazily flicked ope to adjust to his surroundings. Only then did all the memories of last nigh surround him. He grinned widely as he took in Marinette's small frame sleeping heavily on his chest.

he carefully propped both her and himself upright, and then carried her bridal style to her bed. He opened the covers and gently placed her inside. He pulled the covers up to her chin and lightly kissed her forehead.

"Goodnight my princess....." He whispered, thinking she was asleep.

"I'll see you at school......"
