Halex' POV
An aroma of exotic scents inflamed my nasal passages as the boulders stopped moving. Twellwyn moved Puffle forward, ducking underneath the brush hanging from the tree's. Emrys whinnied softly as I followed in suit.
Several children ran forward towards Twellwyn and I. All were slightly tall for their assumed age. All were clad in dark robes and had whittled necklaces around their necks.
The smallest one ran beside Emrys and looked at me. It was a young girl with bright emerald eyes. "Hi my names Gwynneth, you can call me Gwen." I smiled politely at her. "Halex." I replied.
Gwen skipped along with her friends as we reached a small tent, though larger than the others, that was decorated in runes.
An elderly man, no smaller than Twellwyn approached us from behind the yellowing flaps of the tent. "We know who it was." He stated firmly.
Twellwyn nodded grimly and followed behind him. I stood there patiently, fidgeting with my fingers a bit before Gwennyth came over with her friends. A chestnut haired boy and his sister name Filius and Draniah. A raven haired youth called Freya and a white haired boy named Christian.
A small packaged was handed to me from the boy called Christian. I accepted it after a few pleas from Filius and Freya.
"You can open it later! At the feast of Twellwyns return!"
"Okay." I smiled and shoved them away as I sat on the ground, inspecting the parcel. It was lumpy and light. I was in the middle of inspecting the ridges when Twellwyn and the Elder Kikerash came from the tent.
"Loyal one you got here Twellwyn." He joked as he saw me sitting on the ground with my legs criss-crossed.
"Seems that they delivered the package fine." Twellwyn remarked as he passed me, following after the hobbling man.
I stood and sighed. "So what do we do now?"
"We celebrate!" Twellwyn nearly dragged me to a large and longer tent than the one I had met the elder in. People were streaming in from all sides of the camp. Elves, humans, and dwarfs of all shapes and sizes.
As Twellwyn, Kikerash, and I walked into the tent everyone was kneeling. I expected for the elder, my conclusion was taken and eaten to shreds and burnt. "All respect to Twellwyn and The Prophesied One!"
Twellwyn smiled and a charasmatic "Hey guys." erupted in the irritatingly cheerful tone.
"Hey." I threw a small smile and wave in there for good measure. Kikerash laughed deeply and motioned towards the end of the table where three large, ornate chairs claimed their part of the table. Several elders took their place, leaving the three chairs empty.
Twellwyn sat on one side near and elderly man named Percival and I sat across from him next to an old elder named Alice.
Kikerash gently tapped on a silver goblet before placing it on the table.
"A grand welcome to The Prophesied One, Halex. Welcome back to our beloved healer Twellwyn."
Twellwyn smiled while I fidgeted for the second time that night with my fingers under the table.
So Twellwyn was a healer? A small upheaval of his goblet to a cheers revealed a slither of deep faded red.
My eyes narrowed. A Useless mark? When Twellwyn looked at me he gave me a nervous smile. He looked towards the small boy coming with my parcel. He dropped it on the table and scurried away. I reached for it and opened it. A dark green tunic was along with an emerald bejeweled dagger. A hunter green pair of boots lay under the raven black pants.
"You are the next Assassin."
