Sam gazed at the girl in wonder for a few moments. "How did you know-"
"I'm really into monster mythology. The djinn is one of my personal favorites." She explained. She was holding a coffee pot and grinning at the picture with a sense of pride.
Sam couldn't help but stare at her as she gazed at the painting, wondering how on earth this was possible.
"Anyway, go grab a table and I'll be right back to take your coffee order." The girl smiled, turning to Sam. He nodded, unable to form words- he was stunned. She sauntered away, her shoulder length ponytail swinging as she went. Once she was gone, Sam was quick to find his brother. Dean had settled into a window booth and was thumbing through a celebrity gossip magazine.
"Dean," Sam murmured, settling into the seat across from his brother, "you'll never believe this."
"There's not a lot I don't believe anymore, Sammy," Dean chuckled.
"That girl.. The one we saved, the one I have dreams about? She's working here."
Dean looked up from his magazine. "Well that's great, Sammy. Go talk to her, get yourself laid." He grinned.
"Dean, that's not what I'm trying to-"
"Hi guys, what can I get for you?" A voice asked from behind them.
Dean grinned, taking in the appearance of the young waitress standing in front of them. "How about a cup of coffee with you on the side?" He flirted. Sam reached over the table, socking his older brother as the girl laughed. "I'm sorry about him." Sam apologized. "No don't apologize," she giggled, penning down Dean's coffee order. "Do you want cream and sugar in that?" "Just cream." Dean winked. "And for you?" The girl asked, eyes flickering over to the younger Winchester. "Just a cup of coffee with cream and sugar, please." He murmured, searching her uniform for a name tag. "You got it." She smiled, heading back in the direction from which she came.
Dean whistled. "Now I know why you were dreaming about her."
"Dean," Sam sighed, "as much as I'm happy to see that she's okay, I can't help but think of what happened the last time I ran into a girl from my past."
"Sammy, Meg was a demon. Meg was only out for blood. This girl doesn't even know who you are."
"You know as well as I do that there's no such thing as coincidence in our lives." He countered.
"You know, Sam, I don't say this often, but I think that you should go after what you want. If the girl of your dreams is suddenly standing in front of you with a steaming cup of coffee, you gotta give her a chance."
Sam chewed on the inside of his cheek, thinking.
After a moment, he shook his head. "Let's just.. talk about the case."
Although he didn't like the way his brother just gave up, Dean kept his thoughts to himself.

A different waitress brought their coffee and the brothers spoke in hushed tones as they drank it. Every once in a while, Sam looked over his shoulder, eyes searching for the girl and her brunette ponytail. A few times, he thought he saw her, flitting back and forth between the kitchen and the seating area, but when he tried to get a better look, she was gone.
For a moment, Sam really hoped he had imagined her altogether.
