Chapter 12: Right & Wrong

(Monday)

I had no class scheduled during the weekend so I was at the bakery mostly all of my time, filling out paperwork and working as a cashier. But my tiny vacation away from school ends, because my alarm wakes me up reminding me of the class I have in an hour. I quickly get up and get ready. I feel like dressing cute today. So I spice up my everyday outfit a little bit. Satisfied with my outfit, I walk out to the kitchen. I'm missing something. I could use some caffeine. I should to head bakery and get a free coffee since I can. Once I get to bakery, Jungkook is already there, tidying up. I've been meaning to raise his pay. I'm really glad I hired him. He really helps me out here at the bakery and if I need someone to talk to, he's there. I trust him, even though we just met not that long ago. He's like a little brother to me.

Jungkook: what are you doing here this early, noona? I thought you had class today.

Y/n: I wanted coffee. And i heard that this bakery has the best coffee.

Jungkook: you're right. This is the place. Owned by yours truly.

Y/n: oh wow so young.

I play along with whatever game were playing.

Jungkook: thank you. I try to keep my young complexion.

Y/n: (giggles a little) wow~! What do you use?

Jungkook: you know the usual

Y/n: haha, just get me coffee please Jungkook. Oh and later after my class I'll be stopping by the bakery. Maybe even to talk about giving you...raise

Jungkook: OMG A RAISE!!?? I'll make you the best coffee in the world. Just for you.

Jungkook quickly hugs me and runs to the coffee making area but then runs into the kitchen. As I'm about to take a seat at one of the tables, I see myungsoo walk in blindly without noticing his best friend, me. I wave my hand, getting his attention.  I tell him to come over. He complies and takes a seat in front of me. He gives me a look questioning why I'm here.

Myungsoo: why aren't you in class yet?

Y/n: I should be asking you the same thing. To answer your question,  I'm getting a free coffee before I head to class

Myungsoo: I came here to get coffee too. But I was gonna pay for mine...Unless, you let me get a free coffee today ^ - ^

Y/n: hmm~ I don't know.

Myungsoo: (begs) please~. I helped you out with the bakery. The least you can do is let me have a free coffee

Y/n: haha okay okay, just don't get your panties in a twist.

Myungsoo: thank you. I'll cherish the coffee forever

Y/n: you probably had coffee every time you helped out here.

Myungsoo: I payed for that

Y/n: ahuh. Okay so if I ask Jungkook, can he alibi you?

Myungsoo: ah-

Jungkook comes out the kitchen door with a coffee in his hand. He added whipped cream and topped it with chocolate shavings and crushed Oreos. My mouth was watering at the look of it, given that I had yet to eat breakfast. I see jungkook's expression change from smiling to confusion as he came closer to the table and in the corner of my eye I see Myungsoo, nodding his head.
