Hazel was in the Pluto cabin, screaming and crying because the rest of the seven, including her boyfriend Frank, had turned evil out of nowhere.
She worriedly paced her cabin, wondering when she would suffer the same inevitable fate. Hazel jumped in shock, calming down when the door suddenly opened, revealing her older brother, Nico di Angelo.
"Thank goodness you're here Nico." Hazel grinned, embracing him in a tight hug. She chuckled as he squirmed for a quick moment, feeling him hug back.
"Reyna IMed me saying you were having trouble about everything." Nico whispered into her arms, burying his face in her shoulder.
"Of course she did... hey, where's this burn mark from?" Hazel quickly interrupted herself, seeing the mark on Nico's neck.
"Well I mean she's the praetor -and oh nothing! Nothing at all, don't worry." Nico nervously laughed, pulling away.
"Nico, don't lie to me." Hazel scolded, before realization smacked her in the face. "It was Leo wasn't it? Leo hurt you before he vanished didn't he?" She snapped, her eyes glowing with rage.
"It's just a small burn mark. No need to quickly jump into conclusions." Nico quickly responded, trying to calm her down.
"'Just a small burn mark?!?'" Hazel repeated, clenching her hands in fists. "He hurt you Nico! It's not 'just a small burn mark'!" She snapped, letting the gold glow envelope her.
"Hazel no!" Nico screamed, as he watched his sister change right in front of him. He backed up to the wall, sobbing hysterically when the light faded, reaching his breaking point.
"I'll make him pay for hurting my older brother." Hazel snapped, disappearing in a gold flash, just as Nico reached out to help her, screaming loudly.
"HAZEL!" Nico screamed in agony, falling to his knees, missing her ripped SPQR shirt, a second too late.
Nico cried into his knees, breaking down. He felt arms envelope him in a tight hug, sobbing hysterically in their arms.
"It's alright, don't cry Nico." Reyna whispered, brokenly holding Nico, feeling his sorrow and pain, letting Nico cry himself to sleep.
Hearing Reyna's words before he fell asleep, made Nico determined to bring back his friends and family, and even his boyfriend back to who they were before, no matter what it took.
