       "NICO DI ANGELO! WE NEED TO TALK!" Was the reason Nico woke up. He jumped out of bed, seeing a very angry daughter of Athena in the door.

       "H-hey Chase...what's up?" Nico gulped his fear down, unable to stop the betrayal trembling. He clenched his hands into fists, forcing himself to stop shaking.

       "Don't call me that imbecile. What's up?!? Like you wouldn't know!" Annabeth snapped, glaring down at him.

      "Oh...those...look I can't explain what happened with the others! I just can't!" Nico exclaimed, his eyes watering with tears.

       "Oh gods...sorry Nico, I shouldn't be so mad. I forgot about Jason. It's just...Percy promised he wouldn't leave me again...now he did. It just hurts." Annabeth's stormy gray eyes softened, her posture a bit calmer.

        "Don't mention Jason. It's fine. I understand." Nico mumbled, looking away. He forced back tears, aware of Chase watching him intensely.

      "Now. The important question. Why did Percy leave? Why Nico?!?" Annabeth's anger returned, pinning Nico to the wall by his collar.

      "A-Annabeth let me go! Please! I don't know why Percy left! Don't hurt me." Nico lied pushing her back, tears falling because this reminded him of Jason.

      "Don't you know how dangerous it is to lie to a child of Athena, di Angelo? Tell me the truth or I'll kill you." Annabeth snarled, a bright gray flash surrounding her.

      "T-Tartarus. He became mad because he was tired of how much I kept being hurt." Nico's tears fell faster, shielding his eyes.

      Annabeth suddenly dropped Nico to the ground, laughing when he collapsed to the floor in pain. She stared up at the ceiling as the light engulfed her, transforming her completely.

      Nico weakly glanced up at her, when the light faded away, gasping when she lifted him up by his collar again.

        "Beware di Angelo. I'll take care of you when I find Percy. Then we'll see whose side he's really on." Annabeth grinned deviously, throwing him across the room.

       Nico cried out in pain, hitting his body against the wall. He rolled onto his side, curling up in a ball. Blinking his eyes, he saw two blurry figures. One disappeared with a flash, another running towards him.

       "Nico! Nico stay with me now please. Keep your eyes open." Leo pleaded, knowing he was too late.

       Nico heard a voice in the distance, already feeling faint. "L-Leo?" He managed to stammer, passing out in his arms.

      Leo's heart broke, holding the boy in his arms, crying, as he sprinted to the infirmary.

      "Will! Austin! Someone help! It's Nico!" Leo yelled, breaking down when Nico was taken from his arms.

      "Hey, he'll be alright. It's okay Leo." Austin pulled Leo into a tight hug, letting Will attend to Nico.

       Leo just buried his head in Austin's chest, tears falling faster. He eventually fell asleep in Austin's strong arms, feeling himself being carried to a chair.

      ~~~Time skip to Nico's wake~~~
        Nico groaned softly, fluttering his eyes open. He glanced to his right at a teary-eyed Will, squeezing his hand tightly. "W-Where am I?" He asked, seeing Leo wake up out of the corner of his eye.
       "The infirmary. I'm so glad you're awake Nico." Will gently kissed his forehead, letting Leo hug him.
      "Me too. You had me worried. Pass out like that again, you won't be waking up in here." Leo playfully threatened, looking serious for a second, before he burst into a fit of laughter, followed by Will and Nico themselves.
       "Alright, alright. I won't." Nico giggled, staring at the ceiling. The three laughed and told stories until they all fell asleep, even Nico which shocked the other campers.
