Samaira's POV

Today is a big day. Ahmad is going to meet with my parents, for time. Well they're going to find out that I even liked a guy for the first time. But I know damn well my parents are going to be really cool about this. They are open with love marriage, they just have to know the guy and the family. And see if they're worth getting into a relationship with. After all I'm their daughter and they don't want me going off in a bad family.

I told my parents briefly about him last night, how he proposed and everything. My parents were shocked and happy at the same time. My moms words were 'finally you found someone' I just laughed at that.

Currently I'm getting ready while my mother keeps yelling at me to come downstairs and cook something for them. Well if I tried to even cook the house will be burnt down and she knows that damn well but she's still insisting. I make my way downstairs and to make her quiet I cut vegetables for the salad. She seems satisfied. An hour passes by and Ahmad and his parents still haven't arrived. Just as I'm about to get up and call him the doorbell rings. I run upstairs to my room while my mom gets the door. It's kind of a tradition that when the people come for your hand in marriage the girl comes in later with the food and tea.

They walk in and I heard them all laughing away and talking. After about 30 minutes there's a knock on my door. I open the door to see Ahmad standing there.

"Hey," he says.

"Is everything okay downstairs? She everyone agree?" I ask him.

He smiles. "You look beautiful," he then says.

"I asked you something," I give him a pointed look.

"Oh right yeah. Yeah they all agreed," he says. I let out my breath that I wasn't aware of holding.

"Thanks," I respond to his compliment.

"I wonder how I'm going to tolerate you after marriage," he says taking a seat on my bed.

"Then don't marry me," I say matter of factly.

"That's no fun. I like challenges," he says.

"Why are you here?"

"They sent me up here to get you," he gets up. "Let's go," I make my way downstairs.

I'm so nervous. What if his parents don't like me? I finally step foot in my living room and they all look at me.

"Why hello if it isn't our beautiful daughter in law," the mother says. My mother in law.

"Hi," I say.

"Come on dear sit down," she says.

I take a seat between her and father in law.

"So Samaira the wedding has been planned 10 months from now," my mother in law says. I'm ready for marriage but isn't this too early? I start thinking deep but shake my head.

"That's amazing," I say. Ahmad gives me a warm smile. Then we all just sit there talking about everything and anything.

When they're about to leave Ahmad stops at the door.

"Aunty may I take my to be wife out for dinner?" He asks my mom.

"Of course son just bring her back before 12," she says.

I say bye to my mom and get in his car. Then we're off to somewhere.

"10 months," I say.

"10 months," he says with a determined voice. I've to call Aliyah and tell her. She'll be so happy. And of course the other girls, as they need to get their dressed ready.

Why wait when I can call her right now.

"Hello?" Aila says into the phone while there's shuffling at the back. "Ayaan stop it," I hear her pissed voice. When she's annoyed. I laugh.

"Guess what?"

"Please tell me you didn't pull a stunt in front of his parents," she says. That makes me laugh.

"No chill, we're getting married in 10 months,"

silence.

More silence.

Then the unexpected.

"WHAT YOURE GETTING MARRIED IN TEN MONTHS HOLY SHIT SAM THIS IS SO GOOD," she screams in my ear.

"Yeah man so y'all start preparing," I tell her.

"Man this year is going to be hectic two weddings," she says. I'm confused.

"Two?" I ask.

"Oh right my sisters is in 7 months,"

Oh crap. This is not good. Aliyah will be so with her sisters wedding we won't be able to go shopping together.

"Dude should I move it?" I ask her.

"No! What's wrong with you? Don't worry man when we go shopping and everything I'll be coming," she reassures me.

We hang up and the car stops too. I look around to see where we are at and its a nice small cafe.

"Let's go," Ahmad says.

We walk inside and there's no one there. I give Ahmad a questioning look and he just smirks.

And then I see it. And I'm surprised.
