Today is the release of the guys new record.

I'm so excited and so are they. We all left school and went out to the record store Patrick works at. We went and there it was.

I looked over and saw the guys all smiling with tears in their eyes.

"It finally happened, we actually made a record." Pete said with a little laugh at the end.

We all picked up a copy buying it. I can't wait to see if the person working the register recognizes them.

Today I started my new job. I work at the hot topic in the mall. Patrick has stopped working at the record stores because of the band.

We've been very busy lately and we for get to see each other much more than at school.

I've started writing music more and Sydney has actually been playing at small cafes.

I got off work in another hour. I checked out one of the last costumers in the store. It was a slow day. I played the guys record.

"Jordan?" Patrick called.

"Trick?" I said and I saw him walk up to the register.

"Really your playing the bands record?"

"Yup, it's the best thing ever."

"Well, guess what." He said.

"Hmm?" I asked.

"We're going on tour in June!" Patrick said exited and I ran out from behind the desk.

"Tricky, that's amazing!" I said.

"It's gonna be warped tour, and we'll be with My Chemical Romance, you like them don't you?" He asked.

"Yeah, they're amazing! Do you know who else?"

"Umm, The Offspring, is the only other one I remember." He said.

"No way!" I said. I love the offspring.

"I can't believe this is actually happening." He said.

"I'm so proud of you Patrick, and the guys too."

Patrick sat in the store with me the last hour until I got off. We left and went to his apartment. The guys surprisingly settled in fast.

They had been getting very popular.

Sydney and I have been working really hard to save up and move in together.

Patrick and I held hands walking down the street.

"So the only thing is uh.." He paused.

"Trick what is it?" I asked.

"Well when I'm on your I won't be able to see you. I don't want to grow apart from you." He said.

"Baby, I know you'll be gone and I won't be able to see you but I'll go to the concerts near, maybe I can see you backstage. How long is it anyways?"

"Three months." He said with a small voice.

"That's not that bad." I said even though I'd miss the shit out of him.

"But that's the whole summer."

"Trick after this we don't have school anymore." I said and his face brightened up.

"We don't! That's means after this tour I can see you whenever I want, we don't have to work around school!" He said excitedly.

Patrick and I stayed at his apartment with Joe. We all watched reruns of the X-files and ate chips.

Later that night I looked up seeing which shows were near. I could afford both that were near, the only problem is if Sydney and I do get an apartment I may not be able to pay the first rent.

An idea popped into my head.

Patrick and the guys were out playing a show a few cities over. I had just gotten off work.

I decided to try out my idea that I came up with a week or so ago.

I grabbed my acoustic guitar, made sure it was in tune. Grabbed some of my favorite picks and put it in my case leaving the house and going to my car.

I had started using it a lot more lately.

I went over to the corner by the record store Patrick always takes me too. I set up my spot. I remember being around 8 and I'd always see people doing this.

I started to put my guitar over my head and got a pick, I made sure my case was open.

Here goes nothing.

"She eyes me like a Pisces when I am weak
I've been locked inside your heart-shaped box for weeks
I've been drawn into your magnet tar-pit trap
I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn black." I sang playing 'heart shaped box' acoustic.

A few people stopped and Listened. A lady put what I think was two dollars in my case.

I went through 3 songs and people started to crowd around now. I continued into playing acoustic versions of the top 10 songs on the charts hoping to maybe attract a different audience.

I had went through 2 more songs and looked in the case seeing a lot of people had dropped in change and dollar bills.

I went for a few more songs before my voice would start cracking. I've never snag for so many songs straight.

I finished the last dog which was David Bowies 'Heros'.

The few that still stood around clapped and put in spare change walking away.

I packed up and drove back to my house. It was around 7:30 and I microwaved mini corn dogs, eating them then counting the amount I made.

All together it was $22.48 I was shocked. Someone put in a $5 bill.

So if I can get $60 more dollars I can buy the tickets and still afford to move in with Sydney.

My phone vibrated showing Patrick's name.

"Hey baby, on my way back." He said. I can't wait to tell him my idea.
