                                                     **Mia POV**

I woke up the next morning feeling much better than I had been yesterday. It helped that Freddie stayed with me last night and I was grateful for it. My head laid against his shoulder, his chin resting on top of my dark curls. I could hear him quietly snoring still, and plus I was very comfortable like this, so I stayed curled up next to the sleepy singer.
I let my mind wander off into my thoughts. My stomach turned when I remembered that Freddie and the rest of the band wouldn't be able to stay here, not in this time period. I tried not to worry too much about it since we hadn't found a way to take them back home yet, but the thought kept nagging at me because I knew I was getting too attached to them.

I softly exhaled and glanced up at the clock. 7:30 am. Crap, I was going to be late for school!
I frowned, not wanting to leave my spot, but slowly pulled away from Freddie's comfortable grasp without waking him and got out of bed.
I quickly but quietly grabbed some clothes out of my wardrobe and went to the bathroom to change and get ready. Minutes later I ran down the stairs and grabbed my laptop and my car keys. Ellie didn't have exams today, so hopefully she could entertain the foursome while I was gone. Without another look back I walked out the front door and drove to college.

                                                   **Ellie POV**

...Baby you light up my world like nobody else, the way that you flip your...

I flung my arm across the nightstand to turn of my alarm clock. It read 8:15. 'Too early for this', I thought to myself. I gradually remembered that it was a Monday and that Mia had exams today. It was a little weird that I didn't hear her get up and get ready like I normally do. Did she sleep through her alarm or something? After stretching out my tired arms and legs, I got out of bed and made my way over to her room. Without bothering to knock I entered, seeing the curves of a body underneath the covers of her bed.
Gently shaking Mia, I said, "Get up, you're gonna be late for exams!".

She turned over on her side facing me, only to make me realize that the figure wasn't my best friend. Or a female by the looks of it. I nearly screamed and started slapping the daylights out of the stranger in Mia's bed. It writhed around and sat up, holding up it's arms in self defense. "Ow, bloody hell Ellie! What are you doing?!" The familiar voice shrieked.
I stopped momentarily to turn on the lamp on the table next to me, the yellow light illuminating what was Freddie's face.
"Freddie? What the hell are you doing in Mia's bed?" I asked incredulously.
He groaned, rubbing his sleepy brown orbs, and then his now reddening arms. "Well...she wanted me to sleep with her last night." Freddie said shyly. My eyes widened.

"You mean...like..."
"No! I mean-no, not in that context."
His face was as red as a beet. My lips were parted, ready to speak, when a curly mass burst through the door and flipped the light switch on.
"What's going on? Is there something wrong?" Brian bombarded with questions. He looked at the two of us, Freddie mostly, and took in the scene in front of him. "Freddie what the hell are you doing in Mia's bed?" He asked.

I waved my hand dismissively. "Everything's fine, Bri. Go back to bed."
"But wha-"
"Go!" I shooed him out of the room and locked the door behind him. I wasn't done talking to Freddie. His eyes were glued to his lap, playing with the corner of the comforter absent-mindedly. A mischievous smirk played across my face as I sat next to him on the bed.
"Sooo wait, do you like, like her?!" I sing-songed girlishly.
Freddie shushed me by throwing his palm over my lips. "Well don't scream it to the world!" He hissed.

The air filled with my giggles. "Oh my God, you do like her!" I was freaking out. It's not everyday Mia has a romantic interest; most of the reason being she's way too shy to even wave a 'hello' to a guy. If Freddie had a thing for her, I was going to make sure what needed to happen happened.
He sighed in defeat and rolled his eyes.
"Yes, yes, okay I do. It's strange."
I cocked my head to the side curiously. "Strange?" I repeated.
Freddie nodded. "Yeah, strange. I mean, I've been with plenty of people if you catch my drift, but she makes me feel different. I don't want to just do the deed and run off the next day. I can't quite put my finger on it."
