Chapter 11 - Why?

Jessies P.O.V

I sat in the hospital bed again after 5 months. I just can't understand this. My life has turned upside down ever since I've come to this town just because of my brothers and their past even my past because if it wasn't for my parents I would never have been in this bed twice in one year but I can't blame him or them, the only one I should blame is myself. I came to search for Casey and to get my long lost family back not to get everyone killed or hurt and have my brother breaking up with his pregnant girlfriend. I knew that Brax and Ricky's break up wasn't my fault but I just couldn't stop to feel this feeling that everything was my fault. The first thing I have to do right now is to get up, make sure everyone is okay and then I'll make Brax and Ricky a happy couple again. That is something I have to do just to take it off my cheast then I'll leave this town.

"Hey, Jessica. How do you feel?" the doctor named Nate asked with a strange sad glance in his face.

"Why ask when you know that I feel like crap?" I asked him.

"Look I've some news for you both bad and good. Which one should I start with?" He asked.

"You're the doctor, you should know," I said with a dumb ass voice but scared as hell of what this bad news could be.

"Then the first news will be the bad ones, listen carefully. When you got trapped in the house during the fire, some planks fell on you and made you faint but that isn't everything you got some breathing problems and have a problem with your right leg which could give you a problem to ever walk again but the test resultants aren't done yet so I can't really judge you about the ever walking again process.

I just sat their quite but decided to know about the good news. "And the good news?" I asked.

"The good news are that you could walk but only with crutches if not you could get a chair to sit in" he said and I nodded.

"Where is Brax?" I asked him with a tear beginning to form in my eye.

"Outside, I'll get him for you" he said and left.

A second later Brax ran in with Casey, Kyle and Heath behind him.

"Jessica, I'm sorry it's my fault that you are here. If I listened to you the first time and stopped think about myself you wouldn't be here" Brax said.

"No it's not true and you know it, Brax" I said.

He came closer and I gave him a hug, even Kyle jumped into the hug outta nowhere.

"My wonderful sister, thank you for saving Darcy" Heath said and kissed my forehead with a hug.

"Anyone else would have done the same. How is she?" I asked and exactly when he was about to answer I heard a familiar voice talk.

"Actually she is good and she wants to see you" I heard Bianca say and I saw Darcy run to me.

"Auntie" she shouted and hugged me, I hugged her back and we let go of each other when doctor Nate came in.

"Hello again Jessica" he said and I smiled against him.

"I have some news that will make you happy. The first thing is that you will make it again by walking if you go on the training in Rehab that you are supposed to and the second news is that you can go home tomorrow" he said and I felt a little something spread like a butterfly inside of me.

"Okey thank you so much doc" I said and Heath, his family and Kyle said goodbye and walked out.

"You can go home too" Brax said to Casey.

"No, I'm staying here with Jessie" he said stubbornly as he is.

"Okey then I better get going because I smell terrible" Brax said.

"Brax, can you do me a favor" I asked.

"Go get Ricky back" I said and he looked at me with a empty glance.

"I don't even know where she is" he said sad.

"But I know" I said.

"Where is she?" he asked me.

"She is in Melbourne and this is the adress" I said and gave him a piece of a paper with the adress on it that I just wrote down. He took it and was unsure to go or not but he did it and walked out the door when I just stopped him.

"Brother don't come back without her" I said with a smile and he ran out that door.

"Where are you living right now after the fire Casey?" I asked.

"We are living in a new house, it is the one in front of the beach just temporary until they are done fixing the house" he said.

"Oh okey" I said and someone knocked on the door and I saw Gabby and Josh.

"Hey bestie" Gabby said.

"Hey babe" I said with a soon breathing problem because of Gabbys long ass thight ass hug but she soon let go of me and then I saw Josh, damn his face was like a roller coaster. Casey and Gabby noticed the awkward silence and left.

"Hi" I said.

"Hi. When I found out i didn't know what to do. I just couldn't imagine something bad happen to you. Jessica Braxton I love you" he sat down and held my hands. I moved my hands towards his face and our eyes was looking at each other like something had happened, something big and that was exactly just about to happen.

Josh leaned in for a kiss, at first I didn't want to because I was unsure but now I couldn't let him go. I loved him too much for that.

"I love you too" I said and kissed him back.
