Chapter 15 - Shooting stars

Josh P.O.V

"Wake up Josh! You're going to be late hurry" I heard Andy shout.

"Just five more minutes, I promise and then I will get up" I said not wanting to get up, not wanting to go to school or anywhere at all. I just wanted my live back.

"Okay bro. I know you don't wanna get out of here but you have to and your going to so get up and go to school and I promise everything will be alright. Try to talk to Jessie and get all this drama over with" he said and went out. He was right. I was going to meet her and I'll because I love her and won't let anyone take her from me.

Half an hour later I was done and were on my way to school. I entered the hallway and went to my locker were I saw Jessie next to mine taking her things out. I hurried to her and stood right infront of her. She looked at me and shut her locker to get away from me but I just held her arm.

"Please let me explain" I told her and look into her brown eyes but looked down on the floor.

"You have got 5 minutes" she told me.

"I know what I did was wrong but I don't know why I did it. I love you more than you could ever understand, I did a mistake I wish I never committed. You are the love and the light of my life Jessie. Please forgive me. Give me a chance to make it right" I said to her.

Jessies P.O.V

"You should have thought of that before you kissed her back Josh" I said and got out of his grip when I heard a loud sound as a gunshot. Josh took me back to him and we ran into a class and locked the door. It was chaos in there. Students were talking and screaming while hiding under some tables.

"Jessie, Josh, go and hid over there" the teacher pointed and we went there.

"Now be quite class, don't talk, hide and stay where ever you are until we get help" he said.

"But sir my niece is in the school. I have to make sure she is okey" I told him so only the people beside me and the teacher could hear.

"No are you crazy?" Josh said and thightend the grip around me making sure I could not get out.

"I'm sorry but that is something I cannot agree to. I'm sure that she is fine" he said.

One more gunshot was fired and the microphones was working with a voice of a man talking.

"Not here to chitchat but soon the principal of this school Bianca are going to die if Jessica Braxton doesn't turn up in 5 minutes to the principals office. Be a good girl and come here" he said and I looked into Josh eyes afraid of what was waiting for me.

I took my phone out of my pocked and instantly called Heath.

"Oi Heath" I said with a shaky voice.

"Hey sister, how is.." he said but I cut him off.

"Not a great time right now Heath. There is a man in this school threatening to kill Bianca if I don't go to him" I said.

"What?" he shouted through the phone.

"Listen to me Jess. I will be in school in 10 minutes okay. Don't you ever think about to get out of your place please, okay?" he said.

"But Heath Bianc.." I said.

"I'm on my way Jessie" he told me and I stood up not being able to sit down anymore.

"Jess" Josh said and I looked at him with a questionable look while he stood up from the cold, marble floor.

"I'm going to get out and help Bianca" he said.

"No Josh, he wants me. Let me come with you" I said but he refused to let me out with him. I saw a pair of keys on the table behind him who I guess the teacher didn't take along with him when he hid.

"Okey just be careful Josh" I said and hugged him while taking the keys without him knowing.

"Yea I will and I'm sorry Jess" he said to me.

"Me too Josh" I said and pushed him down to the floor.

"NO" he teacher and Josh shouted but I went for the door and Josh ran to it while I were on the other side. I locked the door and he begged me to open it but I would never put the boy I love under any harm.

"I love you" I said hoping he could hear me and from behind the door and started to leave the class.

My steps were closing in to the office and I saw a bat in a trophy glass cabinet. I opened the cabinet with a key from the teachers keys and took the bat out, I put it on my shoulder and were ready to hit it as I opened the door. The man were talking to a tied up Bianca not noticing I was making my way in and I took my place ready to hit him when he turned around and pointed the gun at Bianca.

"Stop. Stop. What do you want?" I asked him.

"I want the Braxtons. I want to destroy all of you starting with you" he said.

"Why? What the hell is your problem?" I said angry ready as f*** to swing this bat up his a**.

"Well your big brother Braxton could explain it to you if he can or have the time to see you but he won't since you will be dead soon enough" he said but I couldn't stand his face anymore so I swung the bat and hit him right on the stomach and he fell on the floor laughing. I was searching for the gun but it wasn't anywhere to be found. Quickly he stood up trying to find the balance and took a grip around me and pointed it to me head when I saw Heath and Josh make their way in to the office.

"Oi Gunno, let her go" Josh said taking a step toward us but the mans grip was getting harder around me and he pointed it against Josh.

"One more step and you are toast" he threatened Josh.

I bit his arm and quickly got out from his grip and reached for the bat and hit the man so named Gunno on the head and he fell on the floor once again with his hand on his head while making my way to Bianca to free her. She hugged me and run up to Heath.

"I told you to stay in the class" Heath said while hugging Bianca.

"Well sometimes I have to make the right thing to save the ones I live" I said and the cops came in, taking Gunno but he still had the gun near him. He picked the gun and looked at me.

"Goodbye Braxton" he said pointing the gun at me and I felt myself being thrown down to the floor, when the gun were fired. Josh was all that my head could think of.
