- Alexis pov -

I went to pick my brother up from the air port, not in my lambo though but in one of quandary Benz. we were not on the way back to the house laughingly and singing to the radio.

" I missed you lexi " my brother state.

honestly I missed him but just not his over protective ness. when he got drafted to the NBA was one of the best/worse day of my life.

" I missed you to bronze " I teased.

" omg!" he exaggerated " I told you about that bad ass name "

I laughed.

" oh so u think this is funny? " he asked

I nodded keeping my eyes on the road " yes, this is pretty funny " I smiled

about a minute after my phone began to rang, he took up my phone and looked at the caller ID. please don't be quan I repeatedly prayed.

he furrowed his eye brows in confusion " lexi, who the hell is tequan and why is there hearts and kissy faces next to his name?" he questioned.

" umm nobody, can u please pass me the phone" I asked.

he sighed " ok, who ever he is I want to meet him and talk!" he said emphasizing the last word.

that's not going to go well, he's going to try and scare quan. because in his mind no one is good enough for his little sister. concidering he played the father role in my life. due to an affair.

" hello" I answered I heard sniffling on the other end was he crying?

" quan " I called again. this time I heard him take a deep breath.

" I'm here, I need you Lexis. please just come to the hospital " he begged me. he never begs, this must be real serious.

" tequan what's going on? " I asked 100% concerned

he sighed " its rayan, he's hurt. he got shot doing a job " he choaked out.

omg my heart sank, rayan got shot?!? even though I'm with tequan I have always had a small crush on rayan. not anything serious that could escilate into a full blown love. I made a dramatic U turn heading straight for the hospital.

"WATCH THE DAMN ROAD!!" my brother yelled at me.

" I'm on my way " I told tequan before hanging up.

- 20 minutes later -

m I arrived at the hospital finally, I jumped out the car running into the buliding as lebron ran after me. I got to the resptionist then asked for rayan. she told me the number and I ran over to it. ask I was about to open the door someone grabbed my arm spinning me around.

" lexi what the hell?" lebron asked

" I'm sorry this is an emergency, my friend's brother got shot an-"

" make that her boy friends brother got shot " a voice I recognized all too well said sadly.

lebron turned on his heels and faced tequan " and you are?" he asked rudely. and my death begins -_-

" I'm tequan, tequan Smith, Lexis 's boyfriend and you?" tequan asked.

my brothers eyes darted in my direction, he burned a hole in my face with that death stare.

he turned his attention back to quan " I'm lebron James your ' girl friend's ' older brother " he replied harshly. he's such an ass sometimes.

tequan eyes widened " as in the lebron James? that owns the shoe brand lebrons? "

he laughed " yeah I guess my sister didn't mention me alot "

tequan shook his head " she sure as hell didn't "

rayan pov

all I could hear was a machine beeping, I tired to open my eyes but it was like it was glued shut! it was dark really really dark, I hated the fucking dark! just my luck right. then out of no where a beam of light began to shine. where the hell was I?

out of that light a face became Clair in the distance, I put two and two together then realized it was Alexis beautiful face. I swear if tequan wasn't my brother I would so steal his girl, Alexis is the best girl I've seen tequan bring home. he would normally be bring home hoes to fuck and duck. but Alexis was wifey material, Even though I'm not trying to get tired down yet but if I was tequan I would not loose her.

I felt my eyes slowly began to open, once I got them open I saw Alexis standing over me stairing at me. she then smiled at me.

" hey, are you ok " she asked

I nodded my throught was to dry to talk, I tried to sit up but a shock of pain hit my chest.

" take it easy, ill get the nurse " she said before walking out.

she came back a few minutes later with the nurse the gang and lebron James behind her. my eyes widened when I was him what the hell was he doing here? I guess Alexis saw my expression she then began explaining. once she was done I was in complete shock!

" wait a minute!! the lebron James is your brother?"

she laughed " yes he my big headed annoying ass older brother "

he laughed also " my head isn't that big now"

we all erupted in laugher, everyone except taquan. he looked very serious.

" Lexis can we talk real quick " he asked her.

she looked at her brother who was giving her a no look " um sure "

Alexis pov

I'm dead, I just disobeyed my brother. not that I haven't done it already but never in front of his face. it would always be over the phone. I followed quan outside he then sat on a chair near by. I stood infront of him.

" I'm not even mad that you didn't tell me about him being your brother, why I'm angry is that you didn't even claim me. its like I mentioned nothing to you infront of your family." he stated.

he was half correct, yeah I didn't claim him because if my brother knew the real quan he wouldn't approve of him. lebron can be very judgemental at times expecially when it comes to boys.

" I'm sorry its just that my brother will kill you on the stop if he knew you like I did. then he would kill you for even thinking your going to marry me one day. its not that ur not important to me, its that I don't want to choose between the most two important men in my life. you kinda understand?"

he nodded his head " yeah I get that, you don't want your brother to know who I really am because ur ashamed of being around me when he's near. o I completely understand " he said sarcastically.

" noo!!" I yelled " why the hell would I be ashamed of you, I love you. if I didn't I wouldn't be here right now, I would be marrying the next president or some shit! my family fucking shuns me because I'm with a thug! I'm looked down at by everyone because I was supposed to be the good girl the one to some how change the world. but no I choose you, I choose to be with you and if your too fucking blind to see that then WHY THE HELL ARE WE TOGETHER!!!?! I don't have time to waste my life goes on with or without you! and if you thought for a second that I'm one of your sideline hoes then think again, certain shit I don't tollerate and false accusation is one of them" I said sternly.

I rushed past him bumping his shoulder purposely as I made my way out the hospital and too the car. I hopped it and sped home. once I got there I ran upstairs locked the door, kicked off my heels and went straight to bed with a few questions on my mind.

was I crying? nah

was I upset? nope more hurt than upset

was I going to have to talk with my brother and quan? hell yes, because if I end up choosing I'm going to choose rayan so they better watch it.
