Well i might as well explain to them why I'm here, its not like im goin' anywhere anytime soon. The geeks have us surrounded and thanks to good ol' Merle, we're stuck on the rooftop.
"Well, as you all heard, I'm Amy," I wave a little sheepishly.
To be honest, I'm pretty nervous. I've never crossed paths with these strangers in my life, and knowing they're teamed up with Dixon, doesn't really ease my conscience at all.
A blond women extends her hand to me without any hesitation, "I'm Andrea sweetie. You know, Amy's my sister's name as well," she informs me in a caring voice.
"I imagine we'll get along pretty well then," I respond with a small smile.
I look around and scrutinize the rest of the group. They introduce themselves politely, one by one. Glenn is the Asian boy I saw earlier. Rick is the tall, handsome, and dark haired man to my right. Then there's Jackie, Morales, and Theadore Douglas (T-dog), who seem like the quiet ones of the current group.
Now that I've met these people, I feel a bit more comfortable. They don't seem like psychopathic murderers,so in my book they're alright for now.
"So what're ya'll doin in Atlanta?" I question.
"Supply run," Merle bites out.
Wooah, what crawled up his butt?
I raise my eyebrows at his sudden attitude change, "Why so crabby all of a sudden?" I question.
"We don' know you, how're we supposed to trust you? You think mentioning my baby brutha's name is jusy gonna get you a free pass? Not in my book sugar," Merle says. Then he points to Rick, "And who the hell are you?!"
"My name is Officer Rick Grimes. Your friend, Glenn here, saved me from that cluster of geeks in the streets. I'm just a man lookin for his family," he explains with a solemn look on his face.
"Well ain't that sumthin'," Merle grins toothily.
"Oh shut up you," I scold Merle. "If anything, it's honorable, the lengths he's taking to find his family. Walking through geek infested streets takes guts. Its admirable. I respect that, Rick," I smile up at him.
I hear Merle scoff and grumble under his breath behind me. I smirk inwardly.
Rick smiles back and nods in my direction with gratitude.
T-dog speakes up,"I agree with the new gal, takes guts to do that kind of shit. We need more of that back at camp," he trails off.
"Hey, hey, hey," my handsone savior protests, "You ain't got the authority to go invitin' anybody you want back to camp. We dont know 'im. What if he's dangerous?"
"He isnt dangerous, he's just a man lookin' for his family, you heard him man," T-dog responded.
"Man! Yur kind is way too trustin!" Merle shouts.
Ahhh shit, and the claws come out...
"My kind? My kind?! What the hell do ya mean by 'my kind'?"
I grimace once again, knowing Merle's answer will be anything but appropriate.
"******* like yurself," Merle smirks. (A/N I really dont like using that word, because i feel like its very very verry rascist and awful. I bleeped the entire thing out for a reason.)
My eyes widen and I gasp at his rascist comment.
As he turns and takes in my facial expression, he lowers his head and has the audacity to look ashamed.
Still apalled, I glare at him. He had absolutely no right to make a comment like that.
Out of the blue, Rick steps forward and puts slaps a handcuff to Merle's wrist, and attaches another to a metal pipe.
This makes Merle go ballistic. I've never seen a man more enraged before. I can't say I blame him though, being chained up like an animal doesn't usually bring the best of feelings out.
"There ain't no need for that, now. I ain't gonna tolerate anymore rascist pricks, it's the god damn apocalypse. There ain't no more ******* or white trash. Theres light meat and dark meat, the living and the dead," Rick stated calmly. "Now everyone take a minute to cool off," he rubbed his head in frustration.
Still sulking like a baby, Merle grumbled under his breath about 'officer dickbutt' bein' outta line.
I rolled my eyes at his childish behaviour.
"Alright lets find a way to bust out of here," Glenn spoke up. "Jackie and Morales, lets go check downstairs to try and find some sort of sewer system that'll hopefully lead us out to the streets. Rick and Andrea, guard the glass doors, don't let those geeks break through. And T-dog... you and Amy stay here and keep an eye on Merle."
Damn.
"Alrighty," I sighed out, and T-dog simply grunted out his approval.
"Guess it just you and me darlin'," Merle rasped out in that sexy voice of his.
"And me!" T-dog piped in his two cents.
Oh lordy, this is gonna be interesting.
