Staring out into the distance, I take a moment to think about all that's happened since the apocalypse broke out. Losing all most of my family, my friends, and my boring life, didn't bother me much. My Father was a horrible man, an abusive drunk. Him turning into a monster of the dead wasn't much difference than when he was alive.

My mother had died when I was only four years old, in a car accident. She was driving back from getting us milk from the grocery store, and ran a red light. And that was that.

I'm actually quite thankful she was gone before she could see what the world is like now. From what I remember she loved the countryside. She loved the beauty of nature, the silence, and the animals. I know that God must've been honored to save her a spot up in heaven.

Yes, I do still believe in our Lord.

Even though this tragedy of an apocalypse happened, and he took my mom away from me before I could get to know her, I'm still forever thankful for him. He doesn't make mistakes. He makes sure that everything happens for a reason. Whaddya know? This all just may be some big test, of how well us humans can work together through all the bad, and still keep our humanity.

I'm still staring off into space when I feel a slight drizzle on my face.

" 's rainin,'" Merle states next to me.

"No shit," I roll my eyes.

"Well, there's no need for that Sergeant Sarcasm," he spits back out.

Rolling my eyes once again, the loudening groans of geeks catch my attention. Down below I spot what looks like a filthy Glenn and Rick sprinting towards a delivery truck.

"Look, T!" I shout, excited that we may not be doomed after all.

"Holy shit," T-dog's jaw drops, "They made it, well I'll be damned."

I jump up and down while clapping my hands, unable to contain my happiness. Rick starts to drive towards the department store garage.

"T, unlock Merle, we're getting out of this hellhole," I grin.

I quickly run down the narrow stairs and into the garage.

"Go, go go!" Andrea shouts. "The geeks, the geeks they broke through," she stutters frantically. As everyone files into the car, I realize T-dog and Merle are missing.

"Wait!" I yell, "Wheres T and Dixon?"

Everyone stays silent.

Rick speaks up, "We have to go..."

"No," I say, "What if they're still up there? What if they're alive??"

"We can't take that chance," Rick shakes his head, "Those walkers are piling up one by one, we won't be able to get to them, even if we are alive. I'm sorry ya'll, but we have to go."

"That's bullshit!" I exclaim. "Let me out, let me out now."

Glenns steps forward, "Amy no, look don't do this please, for all we know they're gone."

"Well I'm not willing to take that chance," I glare at the group. They should be ashamed of themselves.

"Amy's right, this isn't humane," Andrea speaks up. "I'm all for saving our asses but we need to know before we just abandon them."

The others look conflicted. Honestly how hard can this be? Two men on a rooftop may be alive and trapped, and they just wanna go back to their "precious safety".

"We're no better than murderer's if you do this. I don't know about you all, but I'm going back," I announce.

"Me too," Andrea says.

Jackie sighs and looks down in shame, "Hell, count me in too. I don't think I can live with this on my conscience."

"Alright, alright, this is what we're gonna do. Glenn and Morales, you drive the truck two streets down. Andrea, Jackie, Amy and I will take down the walkers leadin' up the roof. We'll see if they're still alive. If they are we'll bring them back, I promise. We'll meet at the truck in ten minutes, no more, no less, and we'll get back to the camp," Rick finalizes.

"Okay," I grin.

Let's do this.
