The Box in the Basement

Running away from a younger girl was a 16 years old dude, who was evidently running away from his 13 years old sister.  The dude's name was Buster and the girl's name was Winter.

Buster's P.O.V:

I run downstairs into the basement figuring that Winter wouldn't ever come down here to get me because she hates it down here.  Winter always said to me.

"Big bro that place is scary, dark and I'm pretty sure it's haunted," but I always laughed at her for saying that, looking around in this space, it actually seems pretty cool, I guess my sister isn't as fearless as she claims to be after all.

Well that was what I thought until I saw a big blob of crazy curly dyed red hair run down the staircase leading from here to the main part of the house.  All of a sudden I get tackled to the ground by Winter, I see and hear her laughing as she starts giving me noogies and burning my head.

I pushed her off me but she lands on her back, she sees something, a big box that looks as if someone has been trying to hide it and they did a bad job of doing so.  But since Winter is, well Winter she crawled over to the box and pulled it out of it's hiding place.

Winter looks at me as if she knows what I'm thinking.

"Hey Bust, I don't think someone was trying to hide this box, I think they wanted us to find it," Winter says to me with her small soft voice, her bright blue eyes looking away from my pale blue eyes and at the taped up box again.

"I wonder what's in there," I say softly to Winter with my slightly louder deep voice.

"I dunno, but let's find out big bro!" Winter exclaims slightly,

"Oh god typical Winter," I think to myself while rolling my eyes slightly.
