It has been a few hours since the siblings had found out that the old book belonged to Esme Lockwood, but since then their parents had come home from work and asked them what they did all day, the brother and sister just replied with "Nothing at all".

Winter's P.O.V:

(Recount)

Wow, my life is turning upside down faster than I thought it would, but it was cool to know that the book had once belonged to the woman who had written the inscription on the wall of the basement. Mum and Dad had come home a few hours ago, we were all sitting the dinner table eating the food that Mum had cooked for us.

"So what have you 2 crazy kids been up to lately?" Dad asked Buster and I, but we but replied at the same time with

"Nothing, nothing at all Dad," After a few minutes dinner was over and I went straight upstairs to my room.  And I fell asleep within about 5 minutes.

Winter's Dream P.O.V:

I was in the basement, laying flat on my back, looking at the ceiling, just so that I could look at the symbols on the ceiling, I could read them.

The basement was black and the symbols were glowing purple, I looked towards the window of the basement, it wasn't that big of a window but I could see outside.  I see that there is a storm going on, I get up from the ground and walk over to the window, I can't see much because  everything was pitch black.

And that's when the lightning started to happen, but it wasn't a pale yellow or blue like it usually was, it was a bright, like almost a blinding bright purple colour.  I hear cackling in the background, over the sounds of thunder.

"Well, well, well little Winter Rose Lockwood, you've read the prophecy, you know that you're the dark one, but you think you can prevent that from happening.  Oh how you wish you could but you can't, just like me when I was your age, I had a brother Authur James Lockwood was his name, he was the light one and I was the dark one just like you, but I thought I could change that, turns out I couldn't, don't make the same mistake little one like I Esme Winter Lockwood did.  For you cannot change the destiny that the fates chose for you,"  That same voice said to me, I look behind me..............
