Chapter 23

Ally POV

"DADDY STOP" says a beautiful giggling little girl being tickled by her father. My little girl. Everything still seems so unbelievable.

Angel is now 5, and it has been quiet for the last few years. 

The alphas have all banded together to show a united front, though most have moved back to their pack lands. Garret and Phil's pack remain with us. They call themselves the "royal guard" when really I think its just because they like us so much.

Julian and his sister's covens have joined, making it now the largest vampire coven in the world. Julian asked permission for the vampires to build permanent homes on our land. Which of course we allowed.

Most of the supers who migrated here for safety have stayed. They all say they have found their home.

"Hey Ally" Stacey walks up to my bench and sits next to me. She has been a wonderful friend over the years, funny I know considering our start. She and Kobe are fully mated, married and have twins. The twins are 4 years old now and run amuck with Angel. 

"Kids are down for a nap I take it?" I reply smirking. They never nap so when they do its when Stacey can finally catch a break.

"Oh goddess yes! First time in three weeks! I've only been able to run after them and then pass out at night when they sleep!" She cries exasperated.

I laugh "The terrible two's never left them".

Kobe comes running up to us. "THE KIDS ARE ASLEEP!" Then he grabs Stacey and drags her towards the house. I know what he's thinking! "Bye Ally!" She calls before she disappears.

I hear a crack and my head snaps towards Quinn and Angel. He is staring in shock as we hear another snap. "Angel! Baby are you okay?" I cry running to her and taking her into my arms.

"Mummy my body feels funny..." She replies quietly.

"Does it hurt baby?" I say soothingly.

"No mummy..." she drifts off.

"Quinn! Snap out of it she's shifting!" I yell at him before carrying my daughter to the clearing where all wolves shift.

"She can't be Ally, its too early! She's too young!" He finally says when he snaps to.

"She is royal and she is a mix. We never knew what would happen." I reply.

Once we get to the clearing I lay my baby into the soft grass. I had blessed this area not long after I became Queen. I blessed the grass to provide comfort for those shifting for the first time, to ease their pain.

I sat next to Angel and patted her hair while praying to the Goddess our daughter would be fine.

"She will be okay baby" Quinn says as he sits behind me and holds me close.

"She has two of the strongest supers in the world as parents" He adds on.

"I know.." I reply not taking my eyes off my daughter.

"There's no hiding her now Quinn.. The peace will be ruined. They will come for her." I say quietly.

Quinn just held me knowing what I said was true. The war will pick up again and they will all be after our child. The first hybrid known.

"The war never stopped Ally, it just died down" He finally whispered.

So I am going to end this book here. The next book will be about the rest of the war and what happens when the world finds out about Angel.
