Chapter 4

Quinn POV - still 2 months ago

After our chat in my office, Phil and I walked into the kitchen where my mum and sister were having a conversation.

As soon as Phil enters the room my sister stops all conversation and runs to Phil hugging him. I laughed and pat him on the back saying "Man, you got your work cut out for you with this one, good luck!"

They started discussing the plans of my sister leaving with him when he left for his own pack. I zoned out and thought about my mate. Her beautiful long black hair and her blue captivating eyes. She was perfect. I couldn't wait to get back to her.

I was startled from my thoughts when Kobe walked into the room, his face looking grim.

"I hope your here coz you found out where she lives" I asked him in a short manner.

He cringed under my glare and replied, "I'm sorry alpha, she was gone by the time I got there, I tried to track her but she was gone"

"FUCK!"

"Language Quinn we have a guest! Mum scolds me like a child

"Yeh and he has worse language habits then me" I whisper to which I receive a whack up back of my head from mum then my sister.

Phil and Kobe are in hysterics when I growl at them. The settled down to a snicker instead.

I guess I will just have to wait until her walk tomorrow night to talk to her.

"Oh, Kobe I need you to call a pack meeting for tomorrow lunch and get the defence wolves on guard. No more passers through without bringing them to me unless they are from Phil's pack. And Phil we should get the integration going ASAP. We don't want any more strain on your pack then necessary. Just start sending people over whenever."

"Yes alpha" Kobe replies.

"Actually Quinn I think you need to come back to my pack with me and give them permission. I know the Fae's are pretty strict on that stuff.. Sorry man I should have mentioned it earlier"

"Damn, yeah okay I forgot about the Fae Rule. How long do you think this will take? I just have some important business to take care of here." I replied feeling frustrated. I wanted my mate!

"Sooner we leave the sooner you can be back. But integration could be months. There's probably going to be a lot of paper associated with the relocation of the Supers." Phil told me.

"Okay we will leave tomorrow afternoon after the pack meeting. I need to tell our members to start moving into the pack house. I can give you a month for now unless something comes up."

"What's going on?" My sister asks with a worried look in her eyes. I fill her in, Phil piping up for the bits I miss. The kitchen is eerily quiet after we finish talking. The weight of the problem laying heavily in our hearts. These are dark times that the supernatural world is facing. It has been peaceful for hundreds of years.

The only sounds we could hear were the sleeping pack members in this house.

"This is going to scare them" mum whispers. "They have never had to face anything like this before."

"That's why I'm going to need you to look after them while I'm gone. You were their Luna Ma." I tell her comfortingly. The pack would normally turn to their Luna for comfort, but seeing as I didn't have my mate by my side and my sister would leaving with us, mum was all they would have for a while.

"They will pull through strong mum. We have a strong pack."

She simply nods in reply.

Conversation didn't really start up again after that. We were all too lost in our thoughts to even try. We all retired to bed, needing to be focused for tomorrow. Tomorrow would be a long day for everyone around us.
