Chapter 5

Quinn POV

It's been two months since I have been home. Two months since I've seen my angel.

This been way too long.

It took a month to even get all the paperwork sorted for the supers to relocate. It also took a month to get our pack into the pack house. It was a lot longer then any of us expected.

The second month was spend starting to move people into then outer houses around the pack house.

But at last it was finally done. I was looking forward to heading home and hopefully seeing my mate. I just hoped she didn't hate me for not seeing me for this long.

"Bye bro, I'm gunna miss you!" My sister said hugging me.

"Gunna miss you too. Behave. Stay out of trouble." I then whisper to her "you will be fine the pack loves you already."

She was worried if she would make a good Luna. But how could she not be when she was raised by our mum.

"Thanks Quinn. I'll see you soon"

I then began my 12 hour journey home. At least I would be home in time for my mates nightly walk..

ALLY POV

My mother wasn't impressed the next day when I told her about the second test. She booked me straight into the doctors.

A few hours later I was in an ultrasound room. "We need to have a little talk when we home Ally."

"Yes mum" I replied quietly.

2 hours later we were home.

"Ally. I want answers. Who is the father?"

The question I dreaded most had finally been dropped. I gotta say I'm impressed mum held it all in until now.

"I, uh, I don't know his name..."

"I'd start explaining right now Ally. Why don't you know his name?"

"Well, I was taking my late night walk when I sensed him. When I saw him it was like everything in my life had fallen together. No words were spoken but I knew I couldn't stop. Mum I'm so sorry.." I started crying. "I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up I laying in a soft patch of grass by myself. I can't stop thinking about this guy. Is there something wrong with me?"

Mums face look torn. Like she didn't know what to say next.

"Okay, sweetie I'm not mad anymore I know why you did what you did."

"Then please mum fill me in! Coz I would love to know!"

She wrapped her arm around me. "Calm down hunny everything is going to be okay. There's something I should have told you a while ago. All supernaturals were created with soulmates. This person would complete us in every way. A lot of soulmates are intra-specie mates, but some are rare and cross over species. Now you know there's restlessness in the world at the moment. So what I am about to ask you is very important. Think hard. Was he like us or different?"

"Um, he was a supernatural. But he wasn't like us. Why is that important mum? There's peace between the races."

"Can't you feel the unsettledness in the world? Our leaders are acting up. There is going to be a war. We need to get you to a safe place. They won't be looking too kindly towards mix-mates. We will have to leave soon, when you start to show."

"Is it really that serious? But what about my night walks. I can't give that up."

"For now please Ally, play it safe." Mum pleads with me.

"But what if he comes back on my walks? I have to keep going.."

"No baby, you will see him again."

I sigh and nod. Giving in felt so wrong. But if something happened to my baby I knew I wouldn't forgive myself.

I mean I may have been upset at the timing and everything, however I wouldn't want anything to harm my baby.

"Okay mum, how long til we leave?"

"I'm going to look at our options and where we have to go. At least start packing in case I can find place pretty quick."

"Yes mum."

I felt so lost. I needed my nightly walk.

QUINN POV

By the time I got home it was near time to see my mate. I ran straight to the forest where she walks. I shifted back to my human and got dressed. Then all I had to do was wait for her to come back.

I wondered if she would hate me. I wouldn't blame her if she did. I left her alone in the forest and hadn't shown up for two months.

She probably thought I'd used her. But I knew I loved her already. I just wish I knew her name.

I waited for two hours in the spot I left her. She never showed up. I wonder if she was avoiding me. I decided to go home and try again the next day. And keep coming back until I saw her. I wouldn't give up on her.

Mum was waiting for me when I got home.

"Where have you been? Kobe said you got home 3 hours ago."

"Ma, I found my mate just before I left to sort out pack business. I was trying to find her.. She's a local Light Witch."

Mum hugged me and said "I'm so happy for you what's her name? What's she like? When is she coming back with you? Its not safe for her out there by herself in these times."

"I know it's not safe for her, and she is beautiful. Her hair is like a black waterfall and her eyes, I could get lost in her blue eyes for days. She is like a dream."

"Quinn, what's her name!" she insisted.

"Thats what I'm trying to find out.."

"Oh, well this is troubling then.." she says and with a wack to my head she yelled "YOU MATED HER AND LEFT HER DIDN'T YOU?"

I cringed under her glare and nodded. Mum can be scarey when she's angry. An alphas temper has nothing on my mum.

"I had to come back and deal with Phil. I sent Kobe to watch over her but when he got there she was gone.. I gotta find her mum."

"well if she's a local Light Witch you should see her soon. The locals are picking up something is going on and seeking peace in large groups. That's why they are coming to you and Phil. Oh and a few have come seeking protection. I've organised for you to meet them tomorrow. After all you have the final say as to whether they stay." mum told me.

"Have they caused any problems?"

"No but some of the children are struggling. We need a way to sort that."

At that i nod at mum. I'll deal with it tomorrow.

"well I'm going to bed. Night Ma"
