What is your inspiration?

When I was a kid, I lived in books, probably to an unhealthy degree.  If I didn't have a book in my hands, the stories were constantly running through my head, sometimes with changes in the plots or new characters.  That's what inspired me to start creating my own stories.

These were the stories that fed my imagination the most.

I never stopped thinking about them, and I'll admit, I still think about them

I never stopped thinking about them, and I'll admit, I still think about them.  For A Little Princess and Anne of Green Gables, the movie/TV mini-series played a huge part in their appeal to me.

As I look at the stories I write today, I see many of the same themes that were in these stories threaded through - a longing for acceptance and love, the comfort of family, finding strength in yourself when faced with difficult times

My wish is that readers will find the same escape in my stories that I found in my favorite books as a kid.
