Chapter 6

"Heyy we just passed through that cake shop, what gives??"

You patted Genos's arms while you two are walking towards the apartment. You finished the training for today and accidentally passed a nearby cake shop

"Cakes aren't exactly a meal and stop petting my arm"

"b-but cake.."

You ran up front of him and held up your hands sideways so he can't pass..

"Aren't you going to reward me for doing a good job today??"

"Geez you're quite a handful..You didn't exactly made a good job today and you whined all day during training"

"aww come on, I probably made progress within my first week, right?"

It's been almost a week since you first came here and train for great strength. Most of the time you train with Genos and Sensei would make excuses to not train with you. Well, it's not like you're complaining of anything since Genos is your personal heater, after all.

'Saitama-san is really keeping his horrible teacher image, is he??' you thought

"Not exactly, (y/n) based on my scanner readings on your body you haven't made any progress whatsoever"

"w-Wait you're scanning me?!"

"what's wrong with it??"

You felt all your blood coming up in your face as he still looks at you with the same face as before.

"EVERYTHING!! you pervert!!"

You walked away from him and didn't bother looking back but then you realized...

'He's probably scanning you right now' you thought

You turned around to see him staring at you..

'Great...he IS scanning me right now'

"Will you quit that!" You yelled at him

"Quit what?" He asked

"Scanning me, duh. It's creepy and weird but mostly creepy!!"

"huh??" Genos said

You went back and stood in front of him..

"Stop scanning me, it's weird" you whispered

He gave you a smirk and looked straight unto your (e/c) eyes..

"How could I possibly trust you if I don't do that??"

You looked away from him..

"Okay.Why don't you trust me then?"

You asked while still looking away from him..

"I don't know what's your main purpose of coming here and why you wanted to be Sensei's disciple..."

'ok he might be unto something'

"...but I'm making sure that you won't do harm towards Sensei"

You covered your mouth with a hand to prevent yourself from laughing but you can't hold it in..

"what's so funny about what I said??"

"hahahahaha Oh my glob, I'm a nineteen year old normal girl who can't even kill a mouse and the most dangerous thing I ever held was butcher knife and you're telling me that I'm going to harm the most powerful man in the universe. That was some joke you had hahahaha"

Genos just simply narrowed his eyes while you're still laughing at what he said...

"so what's your purpose here anyway?"

As you heard those words your smile suddenly faded then you recalled that phone call with your brother again..

"Some things are just not meant to be told, Genos"

You walked away from him and you didn't bother looking back, but before you could completely walk away someone grabbed you by the wrist...

"And why is your purpose of coming here a secret??"

You just simply stood there and didn't said a word...

"...is it because you don't trust me?" He said again

"You don't trust me, either..."

'Don't re-open your wounds' you said to yourself..

You looked up to see his eyes and you could feel the mechanisms working inside him. You smiled and said...

"....so that makes us even"

You shook your hand and he lets go of it. He didn't bother you at the rest of the walk. You were both silent the whole time...

You two were greeted by Saitama carrying a lot of shopping bags while struggling to insert the key on the keyhole..

"*sigh* Oh. hi there could you guys hel--"

"Here, Sensei I got it"

Genos went pass through you and Saitama with the key. You're left deep in your thoughts when Sensei snapped the sense out of you..

"You seem down, what's up?"

"It's nothing, Saitama-sensei. Something just came up that's all"

You went inside the tiny apartment and sat down near the coffee table. You watched some mindless TV and scrolled through the list of channels..

"I'm going out"  Genos said s he was heading at the door

"mhmm" Saitama said in response.

He turned to your direction but he didn't said a word..

"....You know, (y/n) if there's anything wrong you could always tell us"

You turned to see who was talking...

"Huh?"

Sensei turned to your direction and smiled at you...

"Uhm ya know when you came up here earlier you seem to be carrying a burden, ah don't get me wrong it's just a hunch.."

"Uhm Sensei, I'm fine. Just a little tired that's all"

"I see...gah why am I getting sentimental all of a sudden? Sorry about that"

You managed to smile a little bit from his little act...

"(y/n), if you had a problem don't hesitate to tell me or your dad, okay?"

"I know mom, I will"

You said over the telephone...

"Don't forget to take care of yourself out there. I love you"

"I love you, too."

"Uhm I'm going out too, Sensei"

"uhh sure"

You stood up, got out of the apartment and that's when you let go...
