Chapter 15

Saitama came just in time before you came to a very awkward situation. He noticed that you and Genos had turned sour towards each other. He asked both of you calmly what's wrong and you told him everything that had happen.

"Okay, so you're going to move outta here while Genos strongly disagrees on your decision"

"That's right" You confirmed

"But, sensei, (Y/n) can still be with us even if she's studying. I could take her there back and forth"

"Now,now, Genos isn't that a bit irrational?"

Genos turned to your direction he was about to say something to you but returned his gaze
to Saitama.

"But I wouldn't mind going back in forth in long distances"

"Easy for you to say, you're not the one doing those pile of schoolwork and study at the same time. Haven't you considered my feelings, too?"
You clenched your fist in anger..

Genos paused for a moment he knew you were right. You looked down so you could avoid Genos's gaze. You felt the tiny space in the apartment getting tinier by the second..

"It..was quite irrational, I wasn't thinking through it. I apologize"

He finally returned your gaze and bowed down to you. Saitama sighed in relief and excused himself to take a bath.

"You can stop bowing now, man"

You said while placing your hands in his shoulders. He didn't respond to you and stayed there,bowing..

Worried that he might be malfunctioning, you shook his shoulder..

"Hey, Genos you can stop that now. I forgive you,see I'm not mad at you anym--"

"When will you leave?"

"In..in..a week"

"Will that be enough time to make me change your mind?"

You blinked, you don't know how to answer his question. If you had any choice you would choose to stay here and avenge your parents but you don't want to disappoint your aunt either, she's the only family you had...it would be devastating if you lost her too.

"No, Genos it won't"

You sighed ruffling his hair. You felt a pang of guilt...

'If only I had the option to stay'

You both stayed on your position for a few seconds until the silence was too much for you..

"...but heey, on the bright side I'm going to visit you guys every weekend, how's that sound?" You pat his shoulder but he didn't sway..

"That's different"

You wanted to be mad at him right now for being stubborn but somehow you can't. He finally refrained from bowing and looked at you straight to the eye.
Beside from his usual unwavering stare you saw a hint of hurt in his eyes...

You just looked at him back, simply marveled how gorgeous this guy in front of you and you hurt him...

'What have I done?'

"Sorry.." You mutter under your breath

You let go of his shoulder and closed the door of the apartment. You felt hot tears rolling down your cheeks.

That night, you slept slightly further away from him..

(Time Skip)

A week has passed and you manage to patch things up with Genos. The rest of the days went on just the usual, there were occasional monster attacks but that's the least of your problems. After that night, Genos seemed to be more distant to you and you knew the reason for it.

Sebastian came too early the day he said he's going to pick you up. It was snowing heavily that day and you're laughing at yourself to how cliché this is. You've seen enough dramas that when someone leaves it's raining or snowing.

"Thank you for letting me stay here, Saitama-san. It was good till it lasted"

"Hey no problem, you've been an awesome girl, (Y/n)"

You gave him a hug and he hugged you back. Saitama has been like a big brother you never had...

"Here"

You turned your gaze to Genos who is holding a notebook with both his hands, pointing it to you. It was the first time in the week that he spoken to you first...

"What's this for?" You asked

You noticed that the notebook was the same one he used to take down notes everytime Saitama says or does something.

"This wasn't used" He said like he read your mind..

You took the notebook from his hands and looked up to him. He still has the trace of hurt written on his face..

"Okay but do you think you'll need this more?" You held the notebook with care and feel the texture of the cover..

"No you'll be needing that, I had a lot of those, anyway" He said coldly

"Uhm..thank you"

You flashed your sweetest smile once again and you saw his expession slightly lit up. You hugged him and buried your face in his hard metal chest, it's a bit uncomfortable but you really don't care. You felt metal arms wrapped around you, hugging you back. His soft lips touching the hollow of your neck.

You face felt hot but it's probably due to the heat Genos gives out. You both stayed like that for a few minutes..

"Uhm..dude it's time for me to go"

He didn't let go instead he squeezed you in tighter.

"Genos,let me go"

He finally lets go of you but he was avoiding your gaze. You waved both of them goodbye and got inside the car. You looked through the car's window and saw Genos now wearing that same pained expression as before.

'Don't give me any reasons to stay'
