Murr's Point Of View

Sal and I were baking for the sale today in our newly shared apartment that all of us guys live in together. The guy who rented it to us gave it to us right away, telling us that nobody was really interested in it; and we all agreed to split the monthly bill. Q and Joe left awhile ago, leaving us alone.. bad idea.

"Stop it you little bitch!" I whine, defending myself from the flour that Sal was throwing at me.

"Come on, were making you look pretty for the bake sale, we gotta define your ferret features." I roll my eyes as Sal dabbed on the white cooking material, but he started slapping my face. I slapped him and he backed away.

"You know you're such a baby. I'm just making memories with you!" Sal turned and put three cakes into the oven after pulling out the four pies.

The smell of blueberry, cherry, apple and peach fill the air, mixing together. I took a deep inhale in then exhale, feeling satisfied.

"Where did you put all the frosting, Murr?"

"Its all in the far left cabinet." I state, grabbing some frosting utensils. Sal laid out all of the containers filled with Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry frosting, then we started to frost the cakes and brownies.

After everything was finished baking, we had both of our cars filled with the yummy desserts that we are going to sell at the park. Q and Joe were doing the dog grooming also today; they went to help out at the grooming parlor and the owner agreed to give them the money they made for each dog they groomed.

I couldn't believe this was all happening. Hopefully we make enough money to afford the cruise, or even a meet and greet! I really want to finally meet my B, what if we fall in love right on the spot? Well, I'm already in love with her, the rest is up to her.

My mind wanders as I drove through the city, with Sal behind me in his own car. Him flicking me off and honking happened along the way and it scared the shit out of me once I stepped on the gas and realized it was still a red light. Fuck you Vulcano.

I parked in between the yellow lines, then Sal pulled up next to me.

"You're an ass!" I push him after we came in contact.

"Well you're a dumbass." He shot back and let out a laugh.

"Leave me alone until you say you're sorry." I said with my eyebrows furrowed tightly together, I opened my trunk and started pulling out several of the folded tables, while Sal pulled out a few from his own trunk.

We found a place across from a large fountain, on the sidewalk, and started setting up the tables.

After a half an hour, all the desserts were placed on the tables perfectly, and people were already starting to come by. I wrote prices and names of the baked goods on a white paper then laid it in front of everything.

Many people came and bought things, and it just brought tears of happiness to me and Sal's eyes.

"Hey losers, how's it going?" We looked over and saw Joe and Q with 3 dogs on leashes.

"Great! People are actually buying stuff!" Sal exclaims, "How about you two?"

"There's a lot of dogs we groomed but we dont know if its enough, you know?" Q said, his smile turning into a frown.

"What do you mean not enough? How much have you made?" I ask the two.

"About $450. But the cruise is going to easily be two grand, if not more. What about you guys?" Joe explains to us, then asked.
