Chapter Eight

Sal's point of view:

I walked out of the construction office building with my head held high. I got a job in construction making hella cash! I'm kinda worried that my hair will get ruined every day, but it's for Ko. Mostly everything I do is for Ko, the love of my life. I can't wait for the day until I meet my sweet, funny, talented girl. I mean hell, she said on Twitter we were getting married. We are practically internet married. That has to count for something.

I texted the guys and told them I got a job but ignored the messages, wanting to leave more suspense. I eventually made my way home and found a mess in the living room. Murr was crying into a tub of ice cream and Brian was trying to console him. "Uhm...what happened here?" I asked in utter confusion. Brian looked over at me and shushed me and I gave him a wtf look. "Uhm...okay then..." I mumbled, walking into the kitchen to find some food to ease my rumbling tummy.

I heard them talk from the other room and I leaned against the door way to eavesdrop. "I was so excited. I thought I was gonna meet B and now I'll never get to see her!" Murr exclaimed, going to town on the half empty tub of ice cream. Q sighed and patted his back as if he was a little child in need of reassurance. "We will someday, but it won't be any time soon man. We just don't have the money." Q said with a solemn look on his face. The smile that was on my face quickly faded and my heart sank to my stomach. I could afford it, but there is no way the other guys could make enough in time.

I grabbed some chips and walked into the living room, sitting right next to murr and began eating in silence. "So...uhm, what's your job?" Murr asked me, finally acknowledging my presence. I looked at both of them and they were both staring me down curiously. I let out a small chuckle from the look on their faces before answering. "It's construction. $900 a week" I said with a bright smile. Both of their mouths dropped and they looked completely flabbergasted. "Holy shit! Dude that's awesome!" Q shouted, gripping my shoulders and shaking me in excitement. I thanked him and looked at Murr who still looked like someone shot his puppy.

"Congrats man." He mumbled, patting my leg lightly before going back to his tub of ice cream. Suddenly, Joe bursted through the door with handfuls of bags, probably all containing junk food. "I brought the sulking snacks!" Joe said with almost no amusement in his voice. Man, this whole thing is ruining our high spirits. Like all of us are even more stressed out then we were before. "Sal got a job that pays $900 a week" Q said, trying to lighten the mood. "Wow. Good for you man" Joe said with almost an annoyed tone. Damn, I didn't mean for everyone to get mad. I thought they'd be happy for me.

"Hey guys, today's Thursday! New episode..." I said, wiggling my eyebrows as I got up to check what goodies Joe bought. "Oh yeah. How'd we forget?" Joe said, all of a sudden happy again. Murr perked up and smiled brightly, sitting on the couch. Q turned on the tv and of course it was already on their show! We only missed their intro.

"Today we are Binorgio's Pizzeria serving customers and taking their orders." Bessy said with a quirky smile. B jumped in and pointed a finger at all of the girls. "The twist is we have to tell each girl their "special tasks" they have to perform while taking their orders." She said with a smirk. "If you refuse you lose and you don't get any pizza!" Sierra said with a pout before looking at Ko. "But but we love pizza" Ko said with a frown on her face. "I know me too." Sierra said, fake crying. "The world is so unfair!" Ko screamed, falling to her knees in fake agony"

I giggled uncontrollably at Ko's cuteness and her silliness. God I couldn't wait until the day I meet her. I quickly tweeted her to tell her how much I like pizza before deleting the tweet, feeling like it was stupid. I looked at the other guys and they were so absorbed into the show and smiling. The girls always managed to put a smile on our faces. Hell, Sierra helped Brian with his suicidal thoughts when she talked about her past attempts. B helped Murr when she talked about not fitting in. Bessy helped Joe when she talked about working her ass off every day to give him hope. Ko, well she helps me just by existing.

"Si, you look good as a waitress. You should quit the show and work here." B said with a giggle. "Totally would, but you guys know I'd eat so much pizza I'd have to roll home" she said, patting her belly. She goes over to a couple and takes their order, one of them being tuna on the pizza. "Say uh si, go dive in the tank over there and grab a fish" Bess challenged her. "Are you insane? I'm not diving in the tank!" Si said, rolling her eyes. "Oh, soooo...you are taking a loss?" Ko laughed, rubbing her hands together. Si groaned and gave the camera a defeated look before taking an empty chair and putting it by the tank before jumping in and standing inside the tank with her head out the top. "FRESH FISH!" She shouted as a big green thumb landed on the screen and she smiled cheesily.

We all laughed our asses off and I nearly fell off the couch, knowing id never to something like that. "God I love her smile" Q mumbled, loud enough for us to hear and tease him about. "Alright Sierras husband. Relax." Joe said, laughing at him. "Shut up man. I am relaxed. I'm just enjoying her cuteness." Q continued. We all rolled out eyes at him, thinking our girls are better. The next challenge got our attention when cute animals came on the screen and Q audibly awed. I shivered when I saw Si and Bess had cats in their hands. God I hate cats so fucking much.

"Okay B you know the drill, try to steal an animal and get someone to help you" Ko said, handing the mic to si. "I know. Hmm lets see. Ooh! A bird!" "I will give you $50 if you successfully steal that bird" Bess said with a smirk. "Ooh me too. I'll bet $50. Even though she won't be able to" Si said, chuckling softly. "Thanks guys. Love the encouragement." B said, opening the cage and carefully taking the bird and putting it under her coat and holding it there. "Oh my god. It's like staying still!" Ko exclaimed surprised. "It's probably scared to death. God B, scar the poor bird" Si said, looking genuinely concerned. B ignored them and walked to a group of teen boys and whispered. "Psst. Hey. Pubescent teens. Help me steal this bird. My uh sister is dying and wants one but I can't afford it" B said, lying to try and get them help her. Just as they were about to open their mouths the bird got loose and scared the shit about of B, making her slip and fall on her ass. "Guess I'm not half bird after all. No flying colors for me. " she said rubbing her ass and making a big red thumb appear on her face.

"Oh my fucking God. I hope she's okay. She landed hard!" Murr said worriedly. I slapped him in the back of head, knowing I'd say the same for Ko. "She's fine you idiot. "You know guys, we should have a marathon." Joe recommended with a smile. "Hell yeah!" I said, agreeing quickly. "I'll pop some popcorn." Murr said, getting off his ass finally before rushing to the kitchen. "Guys...I got the best idea. What if we sold like old drums sets or big items that we don't even need. We have tons of stuff in storage." Q said, making both Joe and I smile in agreement. "Dude! That's genius. We could definitely make some extra money that way." I replied, patting his shoulder. Looks like we are a step closer to meeting the women who made our lives worth living.

Hey guys, sorry it's been a while since the last update. I actually was in the hospital because I was extremely dehydrated and almost malnourished.
