Holy shit, Star Fox Zero is so much fun! The controls weren't as bad as I thought they we going to be (that or I just got used to it quicker than everyone else :/ ), and the soundtrack is amazing (The song in the media is the Star Wolf theme if you're interested)!

My favorite level so far is definitely Sector Omega, the exhilarating 1st phase with flashbacks of the Death Star trench run, and the boss is an awesome take on an ever so classic foe (not spoiling it.).

Overall, it is an amazing game for the Wii U and an instant recommendation for those looking for a great action game that actually makes use of the Gamepad.

Also, if you get the retail version, you get Star Fox Guard for free, and free games are always nice (though you can get them both digitally separate for a smaller price each, but it'll cost more if you get them both via this method.) I haven't played that much of Guard (only have beaten Corneria A so far), but basically, it's Nintendo's take on the Tower Defense genre, where you place and use laser armed cameras to destroy invading robots before they get to the main tower in the center of the current map. In other words, it's FNAF, only better in every single way (and not because you can actually fight back).

It's fun, it requires quite a lot of strategy, and it's a nice little distraction from all of the space combat (and the subsequent barrel rolls that come with it) the main game has to offer.

Quite the show Nintendo, quite the show indeed.

Also, WE NEED A STAR FOX ANIME, NINTENDO!! Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins was way too cool to be a one time thing, WE NEED A FULL SERIES BASED ON THIS!

Now, if you'll excuse me, "ALL AIRCRAFT REPORT!"
