The courtroom was filled with the Garrison, the Military Police, the Survey Corps, a few officials, and several townsmen.

(Y/N) looked down at the scene, wondering what on earth was going on. She gasped as she spotted Commander Erwin and Levi on one side of the court, and elbowed Petra.

"Yeah," she whispered. "I saw."

"Move forward!"

Everybody looked at who the Military Police were pushing into the center of the courtroom. A boy in his teens, with messy brown hair, wearing a white polo and slacks shuffled forward, in handcuffs.

(Y/N) squinted to see who it was. At the sight of his brilliant green eyes, she recoiled from the railing and gasped loudly.

A few of her fellow squad members turned to look at her questioningly, and she turned to them.

"That's Eren!" she cried. "That's my brother!"

"What?!" hissed Petra.

"Keep your voice down, (Y/N)," Gunther begged.

(Y/N)'s heart was pounding in her chest, and she wanted to throw up. Of all the circumstances to meet her brother after so many years, it was in a courtroom and him in chains. Seeing his fearful face and his shaking figure was enough to send (Y/N) into hysterics.

"Oi, (Y/N)!" Suddenly Auruo's arms were around her, caging her, making escape for the thrashing girl impossible. "You're making a racket. Calm down."

"My brother," (Y/N) sobbed. "What did he do? He's so scared, I need to—"

"Be quiet!" Auruo hissed. "Your brother is 15. He can handle himself. I don't know what he did, but you heard what Gunther said earlier. Trust the commander and the captain. They're aware that you and the kid are siblings. They're not going to let anything happen to him. Clear?"

It took several moments for (Y/N) to calm down, and with the help of Petra's soothing comments, she was finally able to regain composure.

(Y/N) wiped her tears away. "Thank you, everyone."

Auruo clicked his tongue disapprovingly, but ruffled (Y/N)'s hair.

Petra pulled (Y/N)'s hand so they could stand in front of the railing. Eld put a hand behind (Y/N)'s back, patting her shoulder.

We've been through hell and back, (Y/N) thought. This is how much we trust each other.

(Y/N) craned her neck to look at Erwin and Levi. Erwin's expression was hard to read as Eren was forced down, and handcuffed to a pole. Levi's was, as always, bored and expressionless. (Y/N) could only hope that behind that stoic mask was a plan to rescue her brother.

Levi, (Y/N) prayed. Please don't let anything bad happen to Eren.

A door opened, and an old man came inside, removing his coat and setting it on the head table.

He sat down, rolling his sleeves up. "Now, let us begin."

"Chief Darius Zackley?" Gunther whispered.

"The head of the three military groups, right?" (Y/N) asked.

Eld nodded. "If this was a dispute between two of the military groups, I'd understand why he's here, but what exactly did this kid do?"

As Zackley began speaking, rattling off the formalities, (Y/N) found it hard to listen. Her fingers were gripping the railing so tightly, her knuckles were turning white.
