Hello everyone. I hope you guys have enjoyed the story so far. This chapter us going to start up some interesting things. Lord I am entering writing mode already. Lol. Well anyways here is the third chapter.
Chapter 3: The Meeting
I stare at Damon and watch as one of the three pack members with him comes forward. The pack member reminds me of someone. Oh yea my brothers best friend Zack. It has been so long since I have seen him that I nearly forgot what he looked like.
"Alpha Damon, the peace meeting should begin soon," Zack comments.
"Thank you for reminding me, Beta Zack. I would like to have a talk with the alpha and beta at least," demands Damon.
I sigh and nod to Jadea who is still behind the pack. Jadea and i go behind trees to change forms and get dressed. I walk out first and Jadea flanks me. Damon growls when he sees that two girls are stepping out from behind the trees instead of two males like he was expecting.
"The alpha thinks that i will not take any offence to sending girls to do a treaty meeting," growls Damon.
My pack growls and moves to stand. Damon has crossed a line that the girls hate. No one should call the girls alpha crazy even not in literal terms. I place my hand on Layla's head and send her a calming feeling.
"Enough," I tell my pack and they all return to sitiing down.
Damon and tthose with him look at me in surprise. They do not believe that they all obeyed me with absolutely no questions asked. The only person that the pack would do that for would be the alpha and even then most of the time is at least one person that obejects to being told what to do. I move to the front and Jadea follows close behind. Layla moves to the back of the pack to watch out for any intrusions or dangers.
"It has been a while Damon. Long time no see to you and Zack, Josh(her brother), and Dilian," I say in a clam and sweet voice contradicting my feelings.
"Who the hell are you," demands Damon.
"Josh what is todays date," I ask him..
"August tenth why. Do you ask me that I do not know you," Josh growls out.
"What is today," I demand in a harsher tone.
Josh looks confused but then a look of surprise and then happiness. Josh shakes his head. I can tell he is trying to compare me to the me of years ago. I smile when he finally admits to himself that it is actually me.
"My twin sister left this day four years ago. She left a note saying she would return," he replies.
"So then who am I dear Josh," I ask.
"My sister Kayla," he replies solemnly.
"Yes my dear brother," I say.
Josh walks over and envelops me in a huge hug. I can tell that he is wanting to cry but will not in front of strangers. I sigh and give him a small hug back in return.I let go and he backs off in embarassment. Jadea looks at me and smiles softly letting me know that she knows how I feel. She misses her brother who she left for almost the same reasons as me.
"Kayla so that is you," Zack states.
"Yes Zack it is me. Now if you will excuse me but i would like for us to get back to buisness," I tell him.
Zack and Josh nod while Damon says, "Very well let's get down to buisness."
We start to discuss boundry lines for our packs and places that are middle groudn where any of us can be and that both packs protect as shared land. When we are nearly done drawing up the treaty. I hear a twig snap and twist my head in that direction. I smell the air and smell the strong repungent smell of rouges. Layla growls as she also picks up the scent. My pack goes into defensive stances, while the Armalin Pack looks confused. I shake my head and turn to my pack.
"Chase them off. i would join you but I do not think I would be able to return to my human form for while. My wolf has been very much in the fore as of late she has been anxious about returning home," I tell my pack.
Jadea and the others runoff towards where the Rouges scent is coming from. I follow at slower pace with Damon and the others. When we reach the area of the attack, Damon and the others gasp when they see my pack holding their own against twenty rouges. The girls are attacking in groups of two or three and keeping each other safe while the rouges do nothing but fight by themselves believing that they could easily take down my small pack. I smile as some of the rouges are forced to run away as Jadea takes two down by throwing them off of her and into a tree. I smile as Jadea gives a wolfy grin and pins a rouge beneagth her with ease. The rest of my pack easaly takes out the threat. Once all of the rouges have been chased off my pack turns and looks at me.
"Head back to our house and get cleaned up. I will finish the treaty buisness by myself. Start marking territory once night falls. i will not be back for quite some time," I order them.
They run off towards the pack house and do not look back. They know to trust me and my decisions so none of them challenge me or try to contradict me.
"Wow I have never heard of a whole pack with not a single person arguing with the alpha," comments Zack.
"Well that is because we have grown to trust eachoter explicitely in the last few years," I tell them as I sign the finished treaty papers.
Damon signs my copy and then we both sign his copy. I shake my head and try to relax.
"Sis mom and dad would probably like to see you before you head back to your pack," Josh says.
"I know that is why I told my pack not to expect me back anytime soon," I tell him.
"Oh," he replies before leading me back to the Armalin pack house. I sigh as I enter the home that I have not seen in four years. I smile as I see that not much has changed.
Alright guys next chapter is going to be her meeting her parents again. Yea. Anyways bye. I am going to upload the next book of one of my series later so I need a few mintes to relax before getting started on it. Bye.
