June 11, 6 am
I swear the whole camp woke up to a loud scream. The Hermes cabin and I rush out, along with the rest of the cabins, to find the source of the scream. Monster invasion? Nope. A offspring of Aphrodite messed up her hair? Guess again. Annabeth was screaming because of a note left on her bed.
Annabeth storms up to me. "This is all your fault, Ariel!" She shoves the note in my face and goes back into her cabin, tears streaming down her cheeks.
" Dear Annabeth,
I am very sorry to tell you this, but I am breaking up with you. It's not you. I have fallen in love with another girl, but if I tell you, you will rip out her throat.
Sincerely,
Perseus Jackson."
Ok, I guess I understand 2 things. 1, Percy wrote a letter to Annabeth breaking up with her and 2., Annabeth blames it on me. It would be pretty strange if he liked me. We've only knew each other for a few days, about 5 days.
Percy didn't come out of his cabin. He might have had earplugs in, knowing this would happen. The Hermes cabin is looking at me like I wrote the letter. I shrug at them.
I go over to the Poseidon cabin and Percy is gone. I walk over to his bed and see a note with my name on it.
" Dear Ariel,
I guess by now Annabeth has freaked out and you've come to find me. The letter that she freaked out about was the one I was writing when you asked me if I was ok last night. I bet that you think I wrote it for you. You thought right. I should have told you sooner, but I was nervous.
If you are wondering when it started, it began around the 8th of June. That's why I am not acting like myself.
Sincerely
Perseus Jackson."
Oh gods. Percy and me?
