I woke up to an empty bed— well, except for me. Rubbing my eyes with my fist I searched for my glasses.

Where is it?

No wonder I wasn't seeing clearly. I didn't have my glasses on.

Luke came in with a bowl.

"You're awake," he said.

"Yeah," I said trying to clear up my vision.

"Here, I brought you food." He handed it to me, and I blindly put it on the nightstand.

"Have you seen my glasses?" I asked

"You have a glasses?" He asks confused.

"Yeah– they help me see—"

"I know what glasses are you dingus"

"Dingus?" I made a face

"Yeah, got a problem?"

"–no. Now. Have you seen them?" I asked getting out of the covers

"Have I seen them?... –no. I haven't seen them"

"How am I suppose to see?" I groaned.

"You can't see?" He smiled

"Well– I can, but it's blurry! It's giving me a headache!"

"Okay, okay! I'll look for it," Luke left the room, and I sat there in the middle of the bed trying to eat the soup with out spilling any of it.

//

"Much better!" I squealed, still holding the sides of my glasses.

Luke managed to find my glasses and delivered it to me as soon as I finished my bowl of soup.

Luke left to do "important stuff" in his office. And I think Calum had gone to his place.

Knowing that I was left alone, I walked normally not wanting Luke to suspect something.

Once I made it to the door, I sprinted out like the ground was crumbling around my feet. (A/N :-D)

I looked back to see no Luke what so ever.

I quickly jumped over the fence and ran towards my house with out stopping. I banged on the door until my mom opens the door. I shut the door locking it as soon as I closed it.

"You okay, sweetheart?"

"Yeah, I'm just going to take a nap." I say.

"Alright," I'll be making an early lunch, okay?"

I hummed in response.

Arden...

Arden..

Hey, Arden. Wake up!

"Huh—what?"

"Wake up, honey. Look, your late for school."

"What's today date?" I asked.

"May 7th, why?"

"The seventh? I thought it was the eleventh–"

"You don't have a fever, do you?"

"What? Oh—no. No, I don't have a fever, mom. I'm fine, really."

"Okay, well it's too late for you to go to school."
