I could only imagine what Madame Lee's punishment would be, knowing Crowose. For all I know, she could be banished. But I also knew that Crowose was fair and reasonable; the witch's punishment wouldn't be way out of line, if there was a punishment way out of line for murder.
But Madame Lee was also important to the prophecy, guiding me to my second power. Heck, she created the prophecy. If the witch's punishment prevented us from our meetings, Crowose would be at fault for disturbing the prophecy.
Whatever Madame Lee's punishment would be, I still had to train. Katie and I departed after a long while, me going to the Training Dome to check on my sister's tests, to see if she had passed one yet. When I arrived, the room was pitch black and I heard many feet running around the room. It had to be Andy super speed running.
All of a sudden, my head became fuzzy, my thoughts gone, and I felt very lightheaded. I could not move or talk. It felt as if I were frozen in an ice cube, the air around me damp and cold. When the strange sensation was over and everything was back to normal, the lights were on, Andy stood in the center of the room, Taylor holding his arm triumphantly. I applauded. "Which test was this?" I asked.
Before Andy could answer, Taylor answered for him. "The seeking test! I had to catch Andy while he super speed ran around the room, so I froze time, turned on the light, caught him, then unfroze time!" she exclaimed.
"Yeah, that," said Andy, "Very clever. I'd send you to Crowose but she is busy dealing with Madame Lee right now."
"What do you mean?" Taylor asked, her smile gone and her eyebrows bunched, "What happened at the lecture?"
I explained everything. "Well, that's just terrible!" Taylor exclaimed once I finished, "And with all those children watching too!"
I nodded. "So what do you think your weapon will be?" I asked the two of them, trying to get off of the sensitive subject.
"Hmm, the power of freezing time is one of the hardest powers to match an appropriate weapon to," began Andy, "But I think that Taylor would be very successful with a bronze spear." He smiled at Taylor. Taylor jumped with excitement just before bursting over to me to give me a suffocating bear hug. "Mom and Dad would have been so proud!" she cheered, "What weapon did you get?"
"A TurboWind," I replied.
"Wait – what? No way!" Taylor objected. I nodded, smiled, and hugged her back.
"But Crowose may think anther weapon suits you better, Taylor," Andy continued, almost shouting over Taylor's squeals, "But I'll put in a word for you and she might agree."
I don't believe Taylor heard him.
I said goodbye and on my way to my dorm, I bumped into Dr. Gwen. "How are you feeling?" I asked.
