Dear Moon,
It's been 10 years since I last wrote to you.
The running and hiding has stopped. They gave up in the end.
But that's not what I wanted to tell you. No, I haven't been quite honest with you and it's about time I tell you everything.
During the past eight months I haven't been feeling quite well and three months ago, I was diagnosed with leukaemia. The doctors have made a throughout check on me and unfortunately there's nothing they can do except for giving me chemotherapy and hope for the best. But it'll only give me a few more weeks to live, if I'm lucky and to be honest, I feel like I'm done on this planet. There's nothing more for me to live for and I think that it's about time I move on.
I'm sorry for hiding this from you, but I didn't want to cause you any pain. But on the brighter side, we'll see each other again very soon and I'm looking forward to it.
Anyways, the doctors are coming for a check-up soon so I have to go.
Just remember that I'll always love you and I can't wait to see you again.
