(A/N: Sorry it's taken so long! WRITERS BLOCK! :( Pic of Grace on the side!! The song is just a piano piece I found on utube and I thought it was perfect for this chapter!)
It’s been 3 months since I met Emily and since then I’ve been so much happier. Jessica and Sam have been completely ignoring me. In fact, it’s like I don’t even exist. Every time I go near them they’re always laughing and hugging and I always get a pang in my heart even though I try to convince myself they’re not worth it.
I’ve slipped into a daily routine and I’ve become close with Chloe and Phoebe but Emily has always been different. Despite what the others say, she’s really not that bad and she’s really nice. I’m finding myself getting a little attached to her which is worrying me a lot.

My glasses were falling down my nose as I tried desperately to work out this really hard Maths problem when I heard someone calling my name.
“SUMMER!” I jumped about ten feet in the air and spun around. It was Grace and she had an agitated look on her face. I looked over at where the teacher should be but he was gone. He must have had to see the principle or something.
“I was calling you for like, five minutes,” Grace exaggerated. I frowned, why was she talking to me?
“Sorry. What is it?” I asked curtly. She came and knelt by my desk so we were face to face.
“I don’t like not talking to you every day! I miss you Summer. What happened?” her voice had gotten lower and she looked like she was going to cry. I was stunned. It took me a while to find my voice and by that time, there were tears streaming down her face. I’d never seen her cry before and I was feeling quite touched. I glanced around quickly and could see Emily frowning slightly but I ignored her.
“I...I couldn’t stay,” I said lamely.
“W-why?” she stammered through tears. I sighed loudly.
“Jessica and Sam,” I said simply, shrugging. Her face scrunched up in anger.
“Why does it always have to be about them?” she practically yelled in my face. I was taken aback. Her tears were running like a river by this time and I was completely lost for words.
“Jessica misses you Summer! Sam was just jealous! Just come back and we can sort everything out!” she pleaded. Her voice drowned out because all I could think of was; Jessica misses me? When I came back to reality Grace was still blubbering on but I interrupted her.
“If Jessica misses me, why hasn’t she tried to get me back?” I asked with a hint of anger in my voice. Her face went blank for a second.
“She-she wanted to,” she trailed of.
“But?” I asked annoyed.
“She just can’t at the moment. Please come back! You can do better than them,” she gestured towards Emily who I’d forgotten about. Emily looked like she was ready to jump out of her seat. She was staring daggers at Grace.
“Look. If you come with me I promise I’ll get Jessica to speak to you,” my heart jumped at that and I was more than willing to oblige.
“Okay,” I said more than enthusiastic. Grace literally lit up and she had a huge smile on her face. She grabbed me into a hug.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you! I promise you, you won’t regret this!” she went back to her desk with joy. I looked over at Emily and she looked horrified and all I could think of was; what have I done?
