(A/N: This is like the shortest chapter in the WORLD!! SORRY!!!!)

It’s been two weeks since I made up with Jessica. Things have gone back to normal; in other words, best friends with Jessica, Sam hates me still and Grace is happy as can be. But even though I have fallen back into my old routine, something feels wrong. Whenever I look at Emily, I see the hurt and pain in her face. It makes me feel awful because she was the closest I had to a best friend before Jessica. Phoebe and Chloe just look at me in disappointment and I’m noticing that they are fighting with Emily even more than usual. I just try to shrug it off and forget about it.  I know you probably think I’m a cold heartless bitch but when the person you’ve known for almost your whole life wants to be friends again you’re not going to let that go. So here I am, sitting at our lunch table completely oblivious to the conversations going around me. Jessica is sitting next to me chatting happily to Sam and Grace but I have no idea what they are talking about. I’m too busy staring at Emily. She was sitting alone and I wasn’t sure why. I wanted to go over to her and comfort her but I can’t. To my alarm I see silent tears streaking down her face. Suddenly I stand up, my chair toppling over with a crash. Jessica stares up at me with a surprised look on her face.

“I’ll be right back,” I muttered. I walked slowly over to Emily who hadn’t noticed me. I sat down opposite her and she looked at me with surprise. Red shot eyes and tears streaming down her face she looked a mess. She had bags under her eyes and looked like she hadn’t slept in days. I couldn’t help but feel this was my fault. Her expression turned evil; she looked like she could kill me.

“What do you want?” she said, her voice filled with such venom I flinched. “Come to rub it in my face?” I was shocked. How could she think I would do that?

“No! You were sitting alone Emily, I wanted to see if you were okay!” I yelled in exasperation. Her face went blank and she started shaking her head slightly.

“Go away Summer. Go back to Jessica, I’m sure she doesn’t like you sitting here,” I looked over to Jessica and she was staring at Emily with hatred clear in her eyes. I sighed loudly; for some reason my heart felt like it’d been crushed. Before I left I whispered something to her.

“I miss you,”
