(A/N: Sorry for not uploading for a while!!!!!!!! Pic of Phoebe and Emily on the right!)
I woke up feeling fresher than I have in a while. I hummed a random tune as I got dressed and I practically skipped down the stairs. My mum was making breakfast and seemed surprised to see me so happy.
“What’s up with you this morning?” I shrugged.
“Let’s just say… I think my life is about to change,” she frowned but didn’t say anything. I’m positive she’s not going to say anything about last night and I was right. We ate breakfast in silence.
“I’ve decided to lift your punishment. You’re not a baby anymore and you don’t need me to tell you what’s right and wrong. But you’re still not allowed to that party,” mum said surprising me. I frowned. Better not push it.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” I yelled hugging her. She chuckled.
“Just make sure you don’t get into any more trouble! I phoned you’re principle and he agreed that you should come back to school today,” I smiled even wider and ran upstairs to get changed. I decided to wear something cute. I put on short denims and a tight fitting t-shirt.
“Bye mum!” I yelled running out the door to my car. I raced to school; parking in my usual spot. I was relieved to see Chloe outside the school doors. She looked like she was looking for someone. I ran towards her and she looked surprised to see me. I gave her a huge hug.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“My mum’s the best! She phoned the principle who agreed to let me back in school. It helps that they’re good friends to,” I said with a mischievous grin.
“That’s great! I’m just waiting for Phoebe then we can go inside,” I nodded and we sat down. Soon after a pretty girl walked up to us. She was quite small with brown hair and brown eyes. They hugged and she finally acknowledged me.
“Hi! I’m Phoebe,” she smiled shaking my hand. I grinned back.
“I’m Summer.”
“Oh I know,” she waggled her eyebrows suggestively. “You’re the talk of the school and Chloe has spoken about you,” I blushed.
“Whatever she said is all a lie,” we laughed and walked in the school. I felt at ease here; like I belonged. Chloe had to leave us because she had History. I found out that Phoebe was in most of my classes. We walked to Science, a few minutes early. As I walked in I felt stares but I kept my head down. I heard whispers.
“She punched Brittany!”
“Wow. Who thought a loser like her could pack such a punch?”
I ignored everyone and sat at the back. As I sat down I realised I was behind Jessica but she pretended I wasn’t there. That hurt but I reminded myself that she was a bitch and she never cared about me. Phoebe sat next to me and we worked together. My day went pretty much the same way until Lunch. I decided to sit with Chloe and Phoebe. As we sat down a girl approached our table. She had long blonde hair with stunning blue eyes. She looked young for her age and I wandered who she was.
“Hey guys!” she said cheerfully sitting next to me. I looked at Chloe and Phoebe and I saw frowns on their faces. What’s going on?
“Hi! I’m Emily!” she said introducing herself. She had a quiet voice that had a ring to it.
“I’m Summer,” I nodded shaking her hand. I looked at Chloe and saw an extremely forced smile on her face.
“Ugh… yeah Summer? Can I speak to you for a second?” Chloe said pulling me towards the toilets. I frowned.
“Who is she?” I asked as soon as we were safely in the girl’s bathroom.
“She used to be my best friend. But recently she’s been really annoying and clingy. She swears all the time and she’s extremely demanding. I meant to tell you about her but we don’t like her and we’ve been trying to get her to move groups this whole year. The only problem is that she’s not having any of it and can’t take a hint,” she looked really pissed. I was stunned. Wow… drama!
“We should get back now,” I agreed and walked back to our table deep in thought. Phoebe’s face was strained and she shot daggers at Chloe as if to say: ‘How dare you leave me alone with her!’ My eyes widened. I was surprised with how much hatred was going on between them. There was a really awkward silence.
“So Emily… how old are you?” she looked at me with a huge smile.
“I’m 17,”
“Really? You don’t look it,”
“Yeah. I’m pretty young for my age,” her face fell but then went back into a big grin. I found myself liking her despite what Chloe told me.
“You’re really pretty,” I said surprising myself. Chloe and Phoebe looked at me like I was crazy and Emily looked surprised.
“Thanks! So are you. I love your hair! I’m sooo jealous,” she said getting over her astonishment. I grinned at her and she grinned back.
Yep; I liked her.
