Beep...Beep...Beep...The rythmic sound of the heart monitor was starting to irritate me. It seems all I do here is act helpless and passout. I can at least do one thing right if im training to kill someone.

"Here you go honey, just be careful next time." the older nurse said in a sickly sweet voice. "There will be no next time." I mumbled angrily as I exited the infirmary.

I looked around to see where I was, it was like a giant maze. One hallway cut off right to another, yep a giant maze. I don't see how it matters where i go anyways, my room is trashed and I'll survive off of the food they just gave me back there, I'll be good for at least couple of hours.

I set off with a brisk pace, I didn't want to get caught just yet. My shoes squeaked against the white linoleum floors, echoing throughout the building. Everything was eerie but I guest thats the vibe they're going for here.

A flight of stone stairs lead up towards the sky. It would be good to get some fresh air if I could. I started walking up with determination, seemed like I would need it to actually make it to the top.

I was a hot, sweating, wreck by the time I reached the last steps. My breath was coming out like I just sprinted a full mile nonstop. What the hell did i just go up, the stair case to heaven!? This was beyond pitiful, I let out a long hard cough to help my lungs relax after that workout.

The door to the roof had a rusty latch on it. If i just...there, the latch fell off the door with ease as sound waves bounced throughout the walls while it clanged on the floor. Cold wind caressed my face and flowed through my hair, welcoming me like an old friend.

I looked over the edge just because curiosity was nipping at my thoughts. I was up like twenty stories. No wonder my body just about felt like it was going to collapse. The view was breathtaking, lush vibrant green trees were as far as the eye could see. Light cearulean filled the sky making it look straight out of a painting.

Everything was just so undisturbed and serene. I felt free, away from all of my problems and worries....I miss her, I wish we could have done more things together, seen more things together. I miss the way she would talk, laugh, walk with just so much confidence. The kind of confidence and beauty people strived to have. She was the kind of woman I wish I was, strong, always there, and she never gave up. She made me proud to call her mom.

The cold was starting to numb my finger tips as it got darker. I might as well go inside and find some food if I can.

The way down was much easier than the way up the stairs. It was still empty, I wonder where everyone is. I started my way back to my room. From there I will find something to eat.

Squeak squeak squeak. Dammit why do my freaking shoes have to be so loud. Incognito was so out of the question. Well I didn't exactly have a reason to be sneaking around but it didn't mean I wanted everyone to know I was out here.

This place gave me the creeps, especially that guy who practically eye raped me when I first came here. My whole body did an involuntary cringe, I wouldn't mind if i didn't see him ever again...

Speak of the fucking devil. I stopped right in my tracks. What the hell is he doing here. And is that sergeant Jones too? Hide, I need to hide. Squeak squeak squeak. "The hell is that?!" sergeant Jones boomed in the quiet building.

Fuck it, I am not getting caught. I took off my shoes and started running. My socks glided soundlessley against the floor.

I ran behind a corner and listened. What the hell was that guys name umm...Richard? No, Carlos? No it was...

"Ok Brandon, I called you out here today because I have some news. I'm going to need you to train Jade." Sergeant Jones said in a bitter tone.

What!? No, he can't train me he's a monster and a pervert with no heart. And mine was beating a million miles a minute, my palms were sweating. He won't accept, right?

"Yes sir I will happily train the little girl." Brandon said in a overly enthusiastic voice. The sergeant hummed in approval.

"That's my boy, now starting tomorrow you will pick her up from her quarters and begin till you deem her ready." They both stared at each other in a comfortable silence.

They walked off laughing like good ol' buddies while I was over here having heart palpitations. I nervously raised a shaky palm to wipe off the excess moister on my jeans. That guy "Brandon" I spat out with venom,
made me truely nervous, especially after what happened in the white room.

Well, well, well, if it isn't the newbie. He sneered, Im going to have so much fun with you...

After that painful flashback I ran trying to find my room with my appetite long gone. Getting more and more impatient with every step I finally found my little dwelling.

With a weary eye I noticed something was off...like a disconcerting burning on the side of my neck. I spun around to find Brandon.

"What the fuck are you doing here!?" I practically shrieked. "Now, now princess no need to act so.....childish. He said uninterested voice.

His steel toe boots clicked against the floor. Taunting cold grey eyes staring, analyzing my every move.

I shifted feeling uncomfortable in the tense gaze. I don't like him in the same room as me, it's like he's alwats waiting....daring me to do something.

"What are you doing here, came to harrass me somemore?" I stated mockingly. "No but I have news princess." He paused with his usually bored face clearly amused.

"Please thrill me with your knowledge oh great one. Make me shake with pleasure as you tell me whatever it is you have on your mind." My voice dripping with sarcasm.

"I would shut my fucking mouth if I were you bitch." All his amusement was long gone now and replaced with venom.

"I'm stuck with the task of training your sorry ass, and we all know nobody else here wanted to do." He said waiting for my reaction.

"I honestly don't care either way it's not like I had a choice to come here. And we all know no one can change that, so stop being a little bitch and deal with it." Bitterness and malice were laced in my words. I was kinda proud I didn't stutter or back down.

I guess I spoke too soon.

A sharp pain blossomed on the side of my cheek. He...he slapped me. My eye twiched and tears pricked my eyes from the hit. His face was blank and without another word besides "meet me on the field at six", he left.

I was in my room alone tears running down my face wondering what the hell just happened....
