"Y-you can see me?" asked the girl, obviously shocked at what had happened. Evelyn didn't know how to respond to this, so she stopped for a moment to think. After what felt like hours, she finally had a response. "Of course I can see you. You're standing right there, and it seems pretty clear that you were talking to me. I'm Evelyn." Suddenly, the girl began to understand the severity of the situation.
"Nice to meet you, Evelyn," she answered, extending her hand. Evelyn happily took the hand and shook it, but it felt cold somehow. Happy to finally have a friend she then asked the girl, "so now that you know me, what's your name?"
"My- my name?" Suddenly, the girl was flushed with memory of who she once was. "My name is Sara!" She then walked away, mumbling to herself. Does she have The Gift? Before today, I couldn't leave the fountain. "
After this strange encounter, Evelyn was able to find the office and get directions to where she needed to go. But before she could finally make it to homeroom, she rounded a corner and ran into someone new.
