Oz sat beside Liv, who had her laptop on and a microphone beside it. She then began a series of claps, using it to begin a song and just as she was about to start singing, her mom came in, ruining the moment.
"Whatcha' doing, honey bunch?" She asked before her question was added into the song, "Whoo, that's catchy." She stated, dancing to it.
"Hey, Mrs. Rooney, please stop." Oz pleaded her best friends' mother.
"I'm trying to write a song." Liv said before Oz added, "And I'm helping with encouraging words like, "You're not doing good enough!" or "That sucks!"."
Liv ignored her best friend and smiled to her mother, "I've been inspired."
"So our trash-bag protest was a mistake. There are always gonna be jerks like Todd Stetson in the world, we can't change that. But what we can change is the way that we feel about ourselves." Liv said feeling terrified and excited at the same time.
"Well, good for you two." Mrs. Rooney told her daughter and her daughter's best friend.
"Thank you." Both said at the same time.
"Yeah, turns out when I'm really passionate about something, the song just kind of flows out of me. Kind of like Joey and that extra buttery popcorn he had right before riding that roller coaster. It just kinda—" Liv said, acting the way people vomited.
"Thank you for that clear but disgusting visual." Mrs. Rooney told both of them.

Oz stood beside her locker, earphones in her ear as she looked at her phone, waiting for Liv's video. She quickly opened it when she saw that she posted it and watched.
"Hey, Liv Rooney here. So, I've written a new song for the girls at my school that I really want to share with you. Some of the boys there have been rating us girls based on our looks, and that makes us girls feel like we have to change. But you don't have to change who you are to fit someone else's idea of what a girl is supposed to be." Liv said, her voice full of emotion as Oz smiled at her phone when liv started her song.
She started to dance wildly, listening to the song and singing along to the lyrics since she had memorized them the night before. She went out of the school and grabbed her BMX bike, riding it into the school while only riding on the front wheel.
She grabbed the bike and spun 360°, landing back gracefully before she saw a certain crush in front of her, watching her with a fond smile.
Her eyes widened at the sight of him watching her before she crashed into the lockers, her phone still blaring Liv's song into her earphones, one earphone on the ground while the other was still in her ear. She sat upside down against the lockers while her bike sat beside her.
Dump Truck almost immediately went to the girl and helped her up, his hands on her arms, steadying her when she swayed from side to side.
"You okay, doll?" He asked her, concern lacing his tone.
Oz stayed silent, the song still blaring at it's fullest before she nodded her head, taking her bike once more before she continued her series of stunts and tricks, causing the boy to chuckle in amusement.
She then stopped when the song had come to its end, listening to Liv talking with such emotion and passion.
"Thank you for watching, girls, and please don't let anyone tell you who you are. You just keep being you."
Oz watched the end of the video, her eyes tearing up a little as she let out a sigh, pushing back the tears. She couldn't even begin to describe what a wonderful thing Liv had done for everyone.
She parked her bike, turning around to see that Dump Truck was no where to be seen. She walked towards her locker, ready to take out her books when she saw a note fall on to the floor. She looked both ways, to see if anyone was watching her to see who had given it to her.
She crouched down and picked it up, unfolding it to see a small note written on it that made her grin, especially when she saw the initials.
You'll always be a 10 in my eyes, sweetheart. —DT
She noticed the wonderful and beautiful handwriting, the way he had signed his initials. She liked the way the paper was a bit torn from the edges, like he had kept it with him for a while. And she was close to breaking her face from the smile on her face and the butterflies in her stomach.
