"Hey, guys." Liv greeted her parent as they walked into the house from the back door before she let out a loud sneeze, causing her parents to begin to panic.
"Oh, no, she's sick. Pete, she's sick." Karen told her husband in fear.
"Whenever one twin gets sick, the other goes down, too. One time Liv got sick in California. By that afternoon, Maddie had a fever in Wisconsin." Mrs. Rooney explained before her husband took over, "You've heard of the black plague. Well, this is the blonde plague."
"Oh, let's not panic, maybe they've grown out of it." Karen started as Pete checked his daughter's forehead, "I saw Maddie this morning, she's fine."
Oz walked into the house from the front, a comic book in her hands, "Boys, I got the first issue of Nova! I am literally going to faint right now!" Immediately after fingerling over her favorite anti-hero, the teenager saw Maddie on the couch. She jumped back against the door when the blonde sneezed, yelling out, "Blonde plaque! Code red, people! We have a 2319!"
The Rooney parents rushed into the living room from the kitchen, seeing Maddie laying on the couch with a basketball in her hands and a blanket on the armrest.
"Mommy." Maddie started, letting out a violent cough, "I'm sicky. I'm so cold. I want my blanky."
Mrs. Rooney gave Oz, who was standing at the stairs, a look, causing the teenager to speak, "Oh no, I am not getting sick, I have important things to attend to tomorrow."
"I can't get sick." Karen exclaimed before she sighed and used her foot to give her daughter the blanket, "Okay. There, there. All better. Okay."
"Mmm," Maddie hummed in peace before she stated, "so hot." She then kicked off the blanket from her body, "Is this blanky made of fire?"
"Well, looks like I'm on plague patrol. I can kiss that pageant goodbye." Karen stated sadly, causing Oz to light up. She forgot that Parker had his annual patent day with his mother. Maybe she could help him out.
"I think that's a good idea, Mrs. Rooney. You should spend more quality time with your daughters." Oz said with a smile, encouraging the woman to quit the pageant. She wouldn't normally help this much, but she shared Parker's suffering with pageants.
"Wait a minute, honey, I can take care of the twins." Pete told his wife, causing Oz to whisper to herself, "Damn it!"
"What? You would do that for me?" She asked her husband with uncertainty and astonishment.
"Sure."
"You are such a prince."
"Aww, old people love." Oz cooed with a tone of dreaminess before she yelled out in disgust, "Blah!"
Maddie blew her nose on a tissue before she yelled out, "Does no one see me dying here?!"
"Well, hop to it, prince." Karen instructed before she covered her nose and mouth as she past Maddie, "Mama loves you."
"Daddy." Maddie smiled to her father, extending her hands out to him, "Bubby."
There were sounds of hurling and vomiting in the kitchen, causing Oz to cringe at the sounds, feeling sorry for Liv.
