Author's POV
It was the day before the dance. Everyone started asking others to the dance.
"Hey, Seulgi!"
"Hi, Jaebum."
"I was wondering if you would like to go to the dance with me?"
"I would love to!"
Jaebum's POV
It's good to know that Mark wasn't lying. Thank goodness!
Author's POV
Bambam continued the chain of asking out.
"Yeri!"
"Yes?"
"Will you go to the dance with me?"
"Of course!"
And so did Yugyeom.
"Joy, would you like to go to the dance with me?"
"Sorry, I have a date already."
"Really?"
"Just kidding! It'd be a pleasure to go to the dance with you!"
Out of all their friends, Wendy, Mark, and Irene were the only ones without dates. Wendy and Irene were waiting patiently to see if Mark would change his mind, but he didn't.

It was February 14, the day of the dance. They didn't go all out on their outfits — this isn't prom. Instead, they wore simple red or pink dresses. The guys wore a red shirt and some black pants. Mark waited for Wendy and Irene to get ready because this couldn't have been the other way around.
They arrived at the school's cafeteria, where the dance is hosted. There was already music and food set up. The Mark shippers started at Mark to see who was his date: Wendy or Irene? They were all disappointed because he showed up with both. Looks like they all lost the bet — so far. They started dancing and Wendy grabbed Mark's arm to dance with him. Irene quickly followed and turned Mark around. Wendy turned him around and Irene did the same. After a million years of that, Mark decided to get punch for them.
"Look, you scared him away! I was dancing with Mark first!"
"He would rather dance with me!"
"Couldn't you have waited for him to dance with you? If he wanted to dance with you, which he probably doesn't, he would've."
"How do you know he doesn't want to dance with me?"
"He didn't seem to mind that I grabbed him first and that I danced with him first."
"He was most likely going to ask me to dance with him afterwards."
"Wait a minute — do you like him?"
"No, he's my friend."
"If you don't like him, then why did you follow us?"
"I wanted us, the trio, to dance together."
"Is that so? Then you could've said something."
"I could've, but you turned him around before could."
"You could've just —"
"Here's the punch! Sorry for the long wait. There was a long line."
"Thank you!" the girls exclaimed in unison.

The dance turned out to be really fun. They played a lot of love songs and who knew everyone could dance so well? Everyone had a blast, but Wendy and Irene were a little mad that they couldn't share the night with their crush. All the couples: JaeGi, JoyGyeom, and BamRi looked so happy together. They're now all dating each other and what's even more romantic is that the guys asked them on Valentine's Day! How cute is that?
On the way home, Wendy and Irene had similar thoughts.
Wendy's POV
It's so obvious Irene likes Mark. I can't believe she lied to me. It seems like all we do is argue and ignore each other. It doesn't seem like she's my best friend anymore. At least my friends are happy with their girlfriends. Congratulations to them! Maybe Mark will do something special for me on my birthday? Hopefully.
Irene's POV
Seulgi, Joy, and Yeri have boyfriends now! I'm so happy for them. I'm just sad that Mark didn't dance with me as much and the fact that Wendy and I argued. I feel like she knows I like Mark now. I feel like she likes him, too. Will this ruin our friendship?
