"I hope this doesn't change our friendship. I love you guys, you know that already. Please stop arguing," Mark added.
"He's right. I can't believe we fought over a guy. I'm sorry, Irene," Wendy replied.
"I'm sorry, too," Irene responded, pulling Wendy into a bone crushing hug. Mark decided to add to the hug and hugged them even tighter.
"Friends?" Irene asked.
"Forever," Wendy answered.

News spread around quickly about Mark not liking either of them. Many MarkDy and MarkRene were sad. Not just about their ship, but because they all lost the bet.
"Mark and Wendy would've been perfect. Did you see the way Mark look into Wendy's eyes when he rapped?"
"Irene would've been better with Mark. They're always linking arms."
"Wendy and Mark are always sitting next to each other!"
"That doesn't matter anymore, we all lost the bet!"
"Does that mean we all pay up?"
"If we pay, who do we give the money to?"
"Good point. I declare that we don't need to pay up!"
"I will still ship MarkDy."
"And so will I with MarkRene."
